Worth it for the savings
I've had this thermostat for just over two months now and my heating bills have been down about 30% over that time. I've factored for outdoor temps and time at home. The Ecobee does a great job of adjusting for when i'm home and when i'm not. The extra sensor in the bedroom is great for keeping my upper floor more comfortable at night. When added into Apple Home and automations configured, the Ecobee does a phenomenal job of adjusting itself to when i'm home and when i'm not. Integrated into a smart home means more small time adjustments but those add up over time.

Massive temperature fluctuations
This thermostat has extreme temperature fluctuations. Per its own smart sensor sitting right next to it. The smart sensor will say 70° but the thermostat will say 75 you can adjust it in the thermostat so you can zero it in essence, however, when you change it from say cool to heat, the problem goes the opposite direction. I also crossed check this against another thermostat that I have, and it still has the same problem this pro thermostat is extremely unreliable.

We've had eco bee for a couple of weeks now. The weather has been really nice, so we haven't been using heat or AC. I can see this weeks weather, I can see indoor and outdoor temperatures at a glance. And, after watching too many crime shows, it can prove that I was home at the time of the crime. LOL

Took a bit, but now it awesome
I purchased a refurbished premium thermostat. I called support before I placed the order for compatibility and they said it would work. I’m not super handy or a DIY person. Set up went well but blowing cold air. Went thru the screens but sensed up with support. Went thru a couple configurations. Seemed ok but kept rebooting over the next week. Actually got really bad rebooting nearly every time it called for heat. Back online with CS and went thru the same setup again. Really didn’t seem to resolve the issue and sadly admitted it just want going to work, and planned to return. Oddly it then started to work as described. And has been fine ever since. Wondering if it just needs to update itself over the week. Very happy it’s working. Finger crossed that the AC will just flip over in the settings.

Ease of use
I’ve had this product a few weeks so far and the features, ease of use and installation are great. The actual “smart” part of this product is smart! I like how it sends alerts if something is wrong. Our old “smart” thermostat did none of these things. Complete opposite than what I’ve got now. I definitely love this thermostat and sensor

Great features on app!
Installed with new HVAC system... the phone app works great, and our system has a back-up gas furnace for when it gets too cold (we couldn't go all electric because we have an old house with space constraints). Has kept the house pleasantly warm and we've had some very cold nights... and not very warm days. Only gotten above freezing even during the daytime on 6 of last 21 days.

I have had an ecobee 3 lite for 5 years or so and loved it. I had a separate humidistat and upgraded to the premium to be able to better control the humidity in the home. Works very well.

Great Engineering!
So far so good! No matter where I am, within seconds I can check to see how things are. Thermostat functions better than expected. Door bell allows me to see&speak to visitor before opening the door…or not!
