Hardest booster seat to put together! I've owned at least six booster seats for my children and grandchildren. No other seats took more than five minutes to put together. This one took half an hour. I was sure I was going to break the headrest trying to get it into the backrest, and I needed pliers to get the locking tabs into the seat base. If I ever need to take the pad off, I am sure the tabs will break.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This booster is just fine. I’m a car seat hobbyist and this assembly was tough for me to figure out for a minute. It came in three different pieces. There are a lot of manual-type plastic lever pieces that need to be moved by brute force, which I don’t love. To adjust the height of the high back, you have to remove the seat and use the plastic pulls on the back to force it into the position you want. It’s not smooth. My son thought the seat was fairly comfortable for short drives and he was pretty excited about the storage drawer. The fabric seat pad pieces were nice though and super easy to put on and off for cleaning. Overall probably best used as backup seat or seat for shorter drives as the cushioning was minimal. Honestly, the name says it all - “Store ‘n Go.” It’s surprisingly lightweight for how sturdy it feels, and the built-in handle makes lugging it around a complete breeze. I don’t have to wrestle with it or feel like I’m carrying a small piece of furniture like I have with previously used booster seats! I absolutely love the dusted indigo color! It’s like a subtle, sophisticated blue that doesn’t scream “kid’s car seat” the way most other brightly colored or character themed booster seats do. I’ve never been a fan of character themed child seats. I like when they are more sophisticated and kind of blend in with the vehicle interior! This one fits in perfectly with my vehicles interior which is a small win, but still very appreciated! Installation in my vehicle was straightforward & simple. I appreciated how user well “busy mom” friendly it was. The seat belt guides are clear and easy to access, and my daughter (who is 6 and has been using a booster seat for awhile) was able to help buckle herself in with no fuss, which is a huge time saver in the morning rush! One of the most standout features for me is the slide-out storage drawer. My daughter absolutely loves being able to store her favorite toys, snacks, and her allowance money in it & away from her 2 year old sister! Lol! The storage drawer has been a game changer when it comes to keeping my vehicle nice and clean inside! Now I can just clean the drawer out very quickly preventing the need for a car wash vacuum! My car is organized and my daughter is over the moon with her own little command center! To sum it all up, I’d say my overall impression of the Safety First Store ‘n Go booster seats is definitely positive! It seems to offer good support and comfort, which is essential to keep my children happy while traveling even short distances! We all know how kids can be when they aren’t comfortable in their seats! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As the title states, my daughter loves her Safety 1st Store ‘n Go Sport Belt-Positioning Booster that we got as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. She tells me it is more comfortable, and she is finally able to unbuckle herself when we get to our destination. The cup holder is definitely her favorite part of the seat. Our old car seat had a detachable cup holder that came off constantly. This cup holder is part of the base of the seat and she can put whatever drink she wants in it. Nothing is "too heavy" and car movement does not affect it. Although we love this car seat overall, I give it 4 stars because the slide-out storage drawer has not been ideal for us. I can see how it would be a great feature for most families, my daughter has a fascination with making messes. She will pull out the drawer and put food in it, even pour drinks in it. Once she is out of this phase, I am sure we will be able to put it to better use, though. We put this seat together in no time! It was so easy and fast. Installation was easy, too. For once my husband did not get frustrated trying to install a car seat. So he was very excited. My favorite aspect of this car seat is how comfortable my daughter is in it. The padding on the seat is nice in that it is safe, but also allows my daughter to go longer without feeling like she is strapped into something that is too hard. We take long trips at least twice a year, if not more, so it is something that is really important to us. This booster seat is both functional and comfortable.

The booster seat arrived partially disassembled, and to be honest, assembly wasn’t immediately intuitive. At first, I thought there were no instructions included, but they were neatly tucked into a storage compartment on the bottom of the booster. Once I found the instructions, the seat went together fairly quickly and was ready to use in about 15 minutes. Installation in the car was a breeze, since the only setup required was guiding my car’s seat belt through the belt-positioning guide. It took less than a minute to install. I also loved how lightweight the seat is—I didn’t feel like I was lugging it to the car. Its compact size and light weight would make it a great option for air travel as well. The fabric seems to be of adequate quality, and I appreciate that it is washable. Overall, the seat is not as plush as some others we have used, but what it lacks in plushness, it makes up for in compact size. My children, ages 5 and 9, both agreed that it met their comfort expectations. It fit them nicely in high-back booster mode. For reference, they are 44 inches and 43 pounds, and 54 inches and 55 pounds, respectively. The biggest highlight of this seat is the secret treasure drawer that slides out from the bottom. My children love storing crayons, small toys, and even small books in it. It is also difficult to hook the seat covers on to 3 separate parts of the seat. Otherwise, this booster seat is perfect for a family who needs to switch the seat back and forth from one vehicle to another vehicle like our family. I absolutely loved this about the booster because we have had heavy, bulky boosters that are heavy to carry and a difficult to install. This booster made the transition so much easier. It is mobile, light weight and incredibly easy to install. The booster goes on top of the seat in the car and a car seatbelt in looped through the attachment look attached to the boosters head rest. The cushion for the bottom was sufficient. My child did not complain of his bottom or back hurting in this booster like he has with other booster seats! The storage under the seat was perfect for my son to store his sun glasses, a charging .chord and his head phones for our vehicles entertainment system. The storage drawer under the seat could hold a lot more items if the child wants to store other things to entertain them on the car ride. My only complaint is the drawer could not be easily accessed while my son occupied the seat. He had to remember to access the drawer before he sat in the booster.

The booster seat was easy to assemble and lightweight for transporting it between our vehicles. We loved the storage tray under the seat for all the random stuff my kid drags into the car. It was also easy to remove the back and use it as a backless seat. Unfortunately, my kid found it terribly uncomfortable and complained about the hard plastic back and where the seat hit the back of his thighs. Additionally, I don’t like using seats without LATCH safety tethers. It takes me a long time to install seats with a seat belt and since I’m short, I’m never confident that I got the safest and most secure installation. With LATCH, I know it’s as safe and secure as possible and my size doesn’t impact my ability to install the seat safely and correctly. Assembling the booster seat was simple. Once together, I was impressed with the padding on the seat. My little one says it is super comfortable. I also like how the cover is machine washable. It’s a really nice design with cool colors and lots of great storage compartments. Since my son who would be using it is 6, being able to store a lot of activities for road trips is really convenient. The back is sturdy and he loves that it lowers the seat belt to shoulder height and it’s no longer rubbing on his neck. The headrest helps for those long drives when he gets tired and needs to rest his head without kinking his neck. The small tray is fun for toys and snacks! The only part that fell short for me is there was no instructions in the box for assembly. It took a while to get everything put together and it felt like something was going to break when attaching the back to the base. Once it was assembled though, everything was sturdy and good to go. Assembly was pretty straightforward with only a few pieces to put together. The one thing that wasn't immediately clear was how and when to tuck the back pad into the backrest, but I was able to figure it out by referencing the photo on the box. The booster sits atop a regular car seat to position the child safely, and they use the standard built-in seat belt. My main complaint is that adjusting the height of the backrest is quite challenging. You have to push in a small plastic tab while simultaneously wiggling it upward, which is especially difficult once my son is already seated. This matters because if the backrest isn't high enough, the seat belt won't sit at the proper height above the shoulder. That said, if you remove the backrest entirely and use it as a standalone booster, this won't be an issue. The built-in cup holder is deep enough for most drinks, and the small storage compartment on the opposite side is a perfect spot for a few crayons or a snack. The pullout drawer is a nice idea, though it's a bit clunky and hard to access while my son is seated. He has to spread his legs to pull it out, and items tend to roll to the back where they're out of sight. Still, it's a handy spot to stash paper, crayons, tissues, or anything else you want to tuck away between rides. He likes to use it as a foot rest. The storage compartment under the booster seat is nice to store things, but it is not necessarily easy for a small child to grab from while buckled in. The booster seat comes completely dissembled. It took me a few minutes to realize there were instructions underneath the booster seat. Once I found those, assembly was pretty easy. It is nice that the booster is a 2 in 1 - it can be a backless booster, or it can be a high back booster. It's pretty easy to adjust the height of the booster back, but the child cannot be buckled in. You must be able to access the back of the booster without a child in the seat. The cupholder is nice, but it is not removable or adjustable. Unfortunately, this booster seat does not fit side by side my Safety 1st convertible carseat that is forward facing in my midsize SUV. When this booster is in the middle seat, it covers it's own seat belt buckle and partially blocks the buckle of the seat next to it. My car currently sits 1 convertible car seat and 2 backless boosters across the bench seat. If the cupholder was able to be removed, it may be able to fit side by side; as it is, the seat is just too wide. It does, however, fit next to another (more narrow) backless booster of a different brand. I will make this booster my travel seat, but it will not work for full time use.

Plus, it’s a 2-in-1, so it grows with your kid from a high-back all the way to a backless booster, which means you aren't shopping for a replacement in a year. Hands down, our favorite feature has to be the slide-out storage drawer. So many seats, boosters or otherwise, come with cupholders standard which every parent knows that a kiddo will use to store items. However, it’s not really a great storage solution and one of the most appealing and incredible parts of this booster is the dedicated drawer that is located right under the seat. It has a little latch that’s easy enough for a child to pop open without help, even while they’re buckled in. My kid treats it like a little treasure chest - it’s usually stuffed with crayons, a small coloring book, or toy cars. It’s also the perfect "emergency snack" hiding spot – where we can keep nonperishable snacks for him to eat in a pinch. Honestly, just having a place for those random small toys to live—instead of them ending up under the driver’s seat—is a massive win for my sanity. Setting it up was a total breeze. I’m usually one to be struggling with car seat anchors and sweating in the driveway, but this was tool-free and took about two minutes to snap together. As a mom of 4 with 3 kids still in car seats, this booster was a welcome addition to our fleet of car seats! We used this seat as a high-back booster. I was able to quickly get this seat out of the 3rd row and into another vehicle many times without any difficulty! I was so impressed that it stayed intact! It didn’t come apart or flop open, since it was also easy to adjust the recline on it. That was my favorite feature! If you were to ask my almost 5-year-old what his favorite feature was, he would tell you it was the storage. In his first ride, he literally said, “Look at all of the cup holders!” There might have only been 1 cup holder, but there were many other storage compartments including the pull out drawer, which he put his Hot Wheel cars in. I loved the drawer! He could independently access this favorite toys without me having to reach back and give them to him. It was a win for both of us! One of my not-so-favorite features was unboxing it and having to put it all together. While it wasn’t terribly hard, it was a lot more pieces than I would expect and the directions were not as clear as I would have liked, and I’m pretty adept at putting things together. Again, not hard, it just takes a little longer than expected to figure out what all the pieces and steps are. Overall, I would absolutely buy this seat again for one of my other kids! The price point is also spectacular!

I really love how lightweight and easy to handle it is — it makes moving it between my car and my husband’s car quick and hassle-free. I’m very big on safety, and this booster definitely checks all the boxes.The installation process was also very straightforward. Putting the pieces together took me under 10 minutes, and the manual clearly explains both how to connect everything and how to install it properly in the vehicle. Since there is no LATCH system, it simply goes right onto the seat and is secured with the vehicle’s seat belt, which made installation simple and stress-free. I also appreciate that the booster converts from a high-back positioning booster to a backless booster as your child grows. It’s nice to know that I won’t need to purchase another booster in the future to accommodate my child’s growth. We used this booster for my 8 year old son who is smallish for his age. Setup- a little hard to adjust the height and attaching the top part into the bottom. This is the kind of thing that will probably/hopefully get better over time, but I can’t confirm. We did like how the fabric pad attached to the seat. The little plastic snaps held it very securely, better than the conventional loop other boosters have. The drawer- my hot take on this is that this is not a huge plus for a car seat but that it sounds exciting for parents and kids. For example, my son was very excited about this drawer but did he actually put anything in there yet? No. Do I have some premonitions about finding a moldy pb+j sandwich in there one day? Maybe. There is some functionality perhaps- long trips, maybe. Idk. I’ll need a few months to weigh in on this feature properly. It’s got deep pockets on the side which are great for books (if you’re old school like us with me writing this review on a chalkboard) or tablets (if you’re like the rest of the world). Also crumbs, lots of them. As you can see from the picture which was taken unstaged, although there is a cup holder there too, my kiddos just put their cups in the cars (insert laughing emoji here ;) ) Aside for all this it’s a pretty lightweight booster. My son is finding it comfortable. So far so good!
