A: It's 2 tablets per day.
submitted byJ - 6 years agoA: Each tablet is 8.6mg sennosides. Starting dose is 2 tabs once per day. Max dose is 4 tabs twice per day. It will depend on how constipated you are and how your body reacts. There is 25mg calcium and 2mg sodium (very low) per tablet. Personally, I started with lowest effective dose and never needed more than two tablets. Works very well without cramping or urgency.

These are in my regular rotation for anytime I need to use the bathroom! I have chronic constipation and have tried everything under the sun yet these are my fave!! They are not harsh so you won’t be cramping but they get the job done usually 2-3 times a day but nothing crazy where you’ll be running to the bathroom lol I take these about 10:30pm and by 7-8AM, I will use the bathroom! The more water you drink, the more that’ll come out!

As someone who struggles with chronic constipation, literally NOTHING else works for me, even prescriptions from my GI doctor don’t work like this. I am forced to use this daily even though this isn’t really supposed to be use everyday. If you’re someone who doesn’t see great results with stool softeners or fiber supplements, definitely try Senna!
