  • A: If in ECO model the fan and compressor will turn off when the desired temperature is reached and turn back on when it warms up. If you wish to completely cover the unit, you may consider using third-party indoor air conditioner covers.   • A: If the water level gets too high it will drip out the back side of the AC unit. Make sure the AC unit is installed properly, with a slight angle so that the condensation drains towards the rear of the unit. At the end of the season the excess water should be removed from the base before proper storage. Appliance service providers can assist in this process during regular season maintenance.     Average AC

    The unit delivered 60F air which is good but suddenly for no reason started putting out 75F. It did this multiple times. We had to turn off for a couple of minutes and it would start cooling again. I'm guessing this is a good brand with an issue. I researched and read so many reviews before buying. Just my opinion but I'd say all manufacturers are building units that might last a couple years.

    Powerful and fast

    Unit was easy enough to install on my own and I'm a small and out of shape woman. The appearance is more sleek and modern than other units I've seen at the same price. The digital display is bright and the buttons are easy to read use. The convience of being able to control it through remote, phone and Alexa is great. I live in Florida and the summer has temps hitting over 100 daily. The unit keeps my room not just cool but cold. To the point I will turn it off in the morning when I wake up. It also cools quickly. It's a powerful machine but I will admit its definitely not quiet. I do need to turn up the volume a good bit on the TV at night to hear it and I have to raise my voice to get Alexa to hear me over it sometimes but I find its worth it. It's louder than my air purifier but quieter than my blow dryer if that helps. I would recommend this unit to others, especially if you can get it when it's on sale. My room is 11x10 ft but I do also let it cool my hallway, bathroom and laundry room which are right outside my bedroom door.

    I used to think I was hot, now I'm cool with my TC

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Boy, the summer is in full heat! I was extremely lucky to be gifted a TCL Air Conditioner for my honest review. When the box arrived, we couldn't wait to open it. It has all the bells and whistles you could want. First of all, I was extremely impressed by how nice looking it is. Feeling hot? No need to get up! The unit comes with an easy to use remote. On the actual air conditioner, the buttons are set up to make using it very easy. The mute button somewhat cuts down the noise, but it's not a total mute. There are different levels of the fan speed and temperature settings. The temperature can be set as low as 61° and that along with the high fan speed makes your room nice and cool! At the top of the unit is what I call the swing... It provides the direction of the air coming out of the unit. If you push the button once, it moves up and down. Hit it again, and it becomes stationary in the position that you push the button. There are way too many features of this wonderful air conditioner for me to summarize in this review. I highly recommend this TCL Air Conditioner to you if you want to be cool like me!

    Great AC for windows

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the 12,000 BTU Smart Window AC and I’m really happy with it. I use it to cool a 500+ sq. ft. room and it works fast. I love that I can control it from my phone or with voice commands. I found the remote easy to use and the unit runs quietly. Installation wasn’t too hard, but I did need help lifting it into the window because it’s a bit heavy. Overall, it’s a great buy for the features and performance.

    Beautiful and works great

We have central A/C but our 2nd floor still gets kond of hot so we put this in the window in our workout room / dog room and it's been SO nice to have. It also gives me more peace of mind that the dogs will stay cool during the summer when im not home.

Another positive side of this AC, the quality of air. It's fresh, no smell of working AC, and easy to cling removable filter. The size was scary... but when it was installed, its looks clean, simple and modern. We love the new TCL AC! Highly recommend. Requires 2 people to install the unit.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TCL window air conditioner is ice cold and does a great job as far as cooling down a 450 square ft space. It is quiet as a fan on low. Putting in the the window was a breeze. I did give it 4 stars tho because, I was unable to connect it to the app. I followed all the directions and tried multiple times, with no luck sadly. I have a lot of my home appliances linked to my alexa and, unfortunately was not able to with this window unit. It does a great job cooling tho and is ice cold so, that's a big win. I love that it comes with a remote and, it shows the temperature digitally on the the face of the unit.
