If your laundry product leaves a gluey patch on your clothes clothes, do not pull stuck garments apart to avoid tearing. Instead, soak them overnight in water and rewash without detergent at the highest temperature allowed by the care label. Residue often results from incorrect dosing, adding fabric softener during the wash cycle, overloading the machine, or low water pressure—overloading especially hinders detergent dissolution in high-efficiency machines. To prevent residue: - Always follow dosing instructions and place the tiles at the back or bottom of the drum before loading clothes. - Adjust load size based on the cycle: Normal/cotton: leave a hand’s gap at the top Synthetic: 60% full Delicate/wool and quick cycles: up to 40% full - For new washing machines, consult the manual since they use less water and may require adjusted washing habits.
