Q: Your Tide Free and Clear HE says it is now 84 fl. oz. and it does 64 loads. I used to purchase 92 fl. oz. and it also said 64 poads. Is the product now somehow stronger?

  • A: While the volume of the Tide Free and Clear HE detergent has been reduced from 92 fl. oz. to 84 fl. oz., the formula has been updated to maintain the same cleaning power per load. This means the detergent is more concentrated, so you’ll need less liquid per load to achieve the same level of cleaning as before. Essentially, the product is stronger and more efficient, allowing you to still get 64 loads from the smaller volume

  • A: Tide's answer about the number of loads for the 84 oz. container is completely misleading. See details. Line 5 of measuring cup for full load = 4 oz. That's 21 loads/ 84 oz. container.

  • A: With all of our liquid detergents, there was a change to the formula to make it more concentrated. This means that while there are fewer liquid oz in the package, you will still get the same number of cleaning loads.

Q: Is the 156 fluid ounces HE also? it is not on the top of the container did they just forget to put it there. I would like to know if it is also High Efficiency the 156 fluid ounce?

  • A: I called my local store and asked them to verify whether the 154 oz version (DPCI: 003-08-0159) is in fact High Efficiency (HE). They verified that it is HE. The person I spoke with said the HE logo is on the bottle — admittedly, I haven't yet purchased so I'm verifying this second hand.

    Prolongs the life of my clothes

My skin is very sensitive and breaks out easily with other laundry products so this was a game changer for me. It actually gets my clothes clean, and helps remove stains, which isn’t always the case with other sensitive skin formulas. I love that there’s no strong scent and it doesn’t bother my skin compared to other brands. It’s a little more expensive but well worth the price!     [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the small 29-load bottle of Tide Free & Gentle for about a month, and it’s exactly what I needed for my Houston lifestyle where laundry is constant. It’s dye-free, fragrance-free, and hypoallergenic, making it perfect for washing my gym clothes and white t-shirts without leaving any scent behind. One capful is enough for my regular loads, and I use two when I’m washing towels. It works well in my HE washing machine and performs just as well in cold water, which is how I usually wash. The detergent doesn’t create excessive foam, leaves no sticky residue, and my clothes come out completely clean and smell-free.

    Great gentle family detergent

We have sensitive skin and little ones, and have no issues after washing anything in this detergent. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because nowhere on the bottle does it tell you how much detergent to use per load. There are marker lines on the cap, but no guidance.
