Description
Cool down with the Capresso Iced Tea Maker. The large 80-ounce glass pitcher is ideal to take from brewing in the kitchen to the table for serving. Once brewed, the pitcher with lid can be stored in the refrigerator. Add your favorite fresh or frozen fruit to flavor your iced tea naturally. 18 delicious recipes, including Blackberry Hibiscus Iced Tea, Refreshing Mint Green Tea and Fresh Peach Iced Tea are included with the product. Add your favorite loose tea or tea bags to the reusable filter. Adjust the brew strength with the slide on the front of the machine, for a stronger tasting tea slide lever to the right. Fill the removable water tank at the sink for convenience. Fill the glass pitcher with ice to the ice level marking before to brewing. The Iced Tea Maker will brew in approximately 15 minutes and automatically shut off after brewing. The pitcher, lid, filter and filter basket are all dishwasher safe. Leaks!
Unless you plan on putting a towel under this everytime you use it, it stinks. Leaks water all under it. Rest of it isnt much better too. To be fair, glass pitcher isnt as fragile as others make it out but its not super strong either - just need to be careful when handling and washing. breking basket area doesnt fully drain most the time, other imperfections as well that just make it not worth it when added to water pool on my counter each time. Returning...

Leaking from the bottom - no water to pitcher - defective - be careful testing
Took it out of the box and did a test run of the tea maker - water poured from the bottom of the tea maker. None went into the pitcher and water coming out of the bottom was HOT! I unplugged it and called customer service. They confirmed it was defective. Giving it one more shot and ordered another. So, head's up on potential defects. Be sure to test it with just water and in a place where you are OK with water dumping out!

Great ice tea maker! Use it almost daily!
Love it! Makes cold ice tea in less than 5 minutes! This is a gift for a family member but I already bought one last year and the tea is amazing. Tastes just like good restaurant quality ice tea. The only problem is the glass carafe is very delicate so I have an extra one. You have to be careful with it. Replacement carafes are $25. Also be careful when removing the water tank to fill. Pull gently straight up. Pull up at an angle and it can break. Did that with my first one. Luckily the mfg replaced but with the fought me on it a bit.

Capresso iced tea maker
I purchased this tea maker last year. It leaked once. I used it again and did not leak. This summer I pulled it out and it has leaked every time I have tried to use it. It is leaking from the bottom! I was afraid it would catch on fire. I do not know if the electronics were wet or not. Major disappointment. My previous ice tea maker I had for several years and loved it. Do not buy this! I would like to return it for a refund but it is too late. Do not buy!

Not as expected
This was a disappointing purchase! First of all it took two weeks to arrive, as it shipped directly from the company and for some reason they had a delay in shipment. The unit itself is made from plastic, and looks cheap. The glass pitcher is so thin and delicate, it made me nervous to use! The brew strength lever doesnt seem to do anything, we had it on the strongest level and the tea was still weak. It is currently packed back into the box, ready to be returned to the store.

Weak pitcher
My husband and I received this item as a wedding gift 2 months ago. We were filling the pitcher with ice tonight and were surprised to find a piece of ice had busted through the bottom of the glass pitcher. We are very disappointed that the pitcher (especially the bottom) was so weak that a ice cube falling from our refrigerator ice dispenser had the power to break this glass. I have reached out to the company to resolve and will update my review once a resolution is reached.

Works great
It brews very fast and has a custom level depending on how strong you want your tea. Very easy to clean, shuts off when done and only a few parts that are dishwasher safe. My only highlight would be the tea pitcher is glass. Personally I love it and have used it at least 30 times so far.
