The only reason it’s 4 and not 5 stars is that the head bounces. Even when it’s not mixing anything super thick, I think when it’s brand new it should not do that.

How did I live without this for so long?
My mom was a great baker. I grew up with homemade goodies on the kitchen counter all the time; cookies, cinnamon rolls, apple pie, cakes, bread, you name it, my mom baked it. So naturally I grew up learning and loving baking. I had a handheld mixer forever, and when I got one that had a stand and a bowl I thought I was living the dream. But eventually the stand broke or got lost in a move, and I was back to just a hand mixer. Which was fine - until I had to have hand surgery! I finally bought this kitchen aid mixer, on sale, and wow what a difference. It really makes baking effortless!!! I love it! Now my husband is complaining because I'm trying more recipes (Ice Cream!!!) and he can't help but be the taste tester and his expanding waistline is the cause of his complaints... But wow, it's really worth every penny! I've had my mixer for 3 years and it works perfectly.

Awesome stand mixer

My husband loves it as much as I do which is weird because he has never been interested in helping out in the kitchen before. So we are baking together because of this mixer. Lol.

I just recently broke the mixing bowl on my 25 year old Oster mixer. After telling my kids that I couldn’t find a bowl for my ancient mixer, they decided it was time to upgrade me to a Kitchenaid Mixer. I love it and would eventually like to add a grinder attachment to it.
