  • A: Description says 250watts for the Classic and 275watts for the Classic pro. That is what the details say, I'm not 100% sure as I haven't received my Classic Pro yet and also the first answer says it's from the "Kitchen Aid Team" and I'd hope they would know so maybe it's a misprint in the details and like they say "color" options is the only difference. Then again color wouldn't make it for professional use in my opinion but more power would.

The attachments which fit the power hub will fit all KitchenAid Stand Mixers. the Accessories such as flat beaters, whips and dough hooks are designed to fit specific stand mixers and you will want to verify with your specific model.

    Problems with dough hook

    The mixer is good but I have had to buy a dough guard to prevent the dough from climbing up the dough hook. And the white plastic dough hook is delaminating.

    Great Durability and Product Lifespan

    I bought this mixer to replace my old KitchenAid 4.5 Quart stand mixer that I have owned for 40 years! I use my mixer alot so knew that after 40 years the best way to replace the old one was with a new one. I looked at reviews for other brands online and it reinforced my belief that another KitchenAId was the way to go. This one will most likely outlive me :).

    Versatile and a work horse

    My wife is an excellent baker. She has used the mixer multiple times and been totally satisfied with its performance. She has even expanded to using it to make other dishes such as meat loaf and hamburgers with excellent results. Overall, this has been an excellent addition to the kitchen. She has started adding other attachments such as a meat grinder to increase the KA versatility. Highly recommend.

    Good mixer. But I miss my 1980 Kitchen Aid

    Have had this mixer about 2 months. Its ok. Doesn't seem to be as heavy or as tough as my first one that I got in early 80s. That one mixed a lot of food over the years. Cookies, Pie fillings, bread dough, etc. Meat grinder made a lot of bologna salad, chicken salad, ground nuts, etc. It finally started making grinding noises inside the head. Figured gears were giving out. Still have it in box that this one came out of. The old one was Almond in color. This one is Black. Shows every speck of flour that is spilled. Only real complaint. Did purchase the spring separately where the beater connects to the spinning head. Kitchen Aid should not have omitted that spring with their mixers. Cost can't be that bad. Not having the spring on makes the mixing unstable.

    Happy it's still the best

    After having a 5 quart tilt-head stand mixer for 35 years I would only buy a new Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I went to the 4.5 because it was a little lighter in weight. The mixer is very good, a bit noiser. Your new Flex paddle is excellent, it scraps the bowel much better. You don't need to stop the machine and scap down the sides of the bowl.
