Q: Will these work well on the lid of a laptop? I assume it will need an extended amount of time to dry based on the answer given to a DVD question.

    Invest in quality markers over these!

    The so-called light-colored markers are darker than the outside advertises them as (I set the markers next to the colors for reference). There are also not enough skin-tone/earth-tone colors. I feel the markers are already starting to fade a bit, and this is only my second use. Also not enough color varieties, with the light colors almost as dark as the darker shade. And they run and smear into the black ink of the page you are coloring, but for $3.50, you get what you paid for. If you are a person who uses markers a lot, invest in some good quality brands.

    It's not an acrylic marker

    Tested the black pen on glass wipe off board, the color very muted, looks more violet than a true black. The color doesn't pop on the glass compared to a dry-erase black marker. It doesn't meet my expectations for this use. Will need to try an acrylic pen instead.
