Q: Can it be used to glue sneakers

submitted by Luna - 2 months ago
  • A: E6000 does a great job repairing sneakers and other footwear. It bonds well with rubber and other shoe materials and will flex with the shoe while in use. Just be sure to clean the surfaces with rubbing alcohol before applying and clamp the repair in place for 24 hours and it should work great. Q: Does this work on leather, gluing 2 pcs of leather together?

submitted by Cray - 2 months ago
  • A: E6000 does a great job of bonding leather-to-leather. We recommend cleaning the surfaces with rubbing alcohol prior to applying. E6000 works best when it is applied to both surfaces and allowed to be exposed to air for 1-2 minutes before mating the two together and clamping/securing with weight for 24 hours. Q: What gauge blunt tips are included with this? I purchased this previously and want to order additional tips, but cannot figure out what gauge the tips are!

submitted by Gameday Glitz - 2 months ago
  • A: The tips that are included with E6000 are 14 gauge and they are reusable--try cleaning them out by soaking in a dish of rubbing alcohol. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: Will this work to fix an outdoor sling chair where the stitching is coming undone?

submitted by AuntM - 3 months ago
  • A: E6000 should do a great job repairing the outdoor sling chair. Clean both surfaces with acetone or rubbing alcohol prior to applying. For best results treat the product as a contact adhesive, meaning apply the product to both surfaces and allow 1-2 minutes for the product to get tacky before mating the two together and clamping/securing with weight for 24 hours. Q: Can I use this to glue a vase that will have water in it at times?

submitted by M - 3 months ago
  • A: E6000 is a great choice for mending a cracked vase. It is fully waterproof upon a full cure and should work great for this application. It is best to clean the surface with rubbing alcohol before applying for a quality bond. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: How fast does this dry?

submitted by Emma - 5 months ago
  • A: E6000 is a solvent based adhesive that cures via the solvent evaporating. This generally takes about 24 hours, but can take up to 48 hours if there is little air flow for the solvent to evaporate and fully cure. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: Can this be used in jewlery making, i.e. sealing the knot on stretchy string on a bracelet?

submitted by Jensk8 - 8 months ago
  • A: E6000 is a great choice when making jewelry--it dries clear, will flex with the bracelet, and is fully waterproof when it is cured. It should work great to seal the knot and make it secure. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: Does this glue turn yellow over time? Like if I was to use it to rhinestone a car emblem.

submitted by New mommy - 8 months ago
  • A: E6000 is a clear adhesive but it may yellow over years of being in the sun's UV rays. If the adhesive is covered or painted it will have some added UV protection. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

submitted by Island Wahine - 10 months ago
  • A: E6000 is a great choice for repairing porcelain and it holds very well. Clean both surfaces with acetone or rubbing alcohol prior to applying. Q: Can I use this stick patches on beanies, puffer vest and nylon jacket?

submitted by The cook - 10 months ago
  • A: E6000 works great for adhering patches on clothing. I bonds great with nylon, cotton, and wool, and should flex and move with the garment once fully cured. For best results, apply E6000 to both surfaces and allow 1-2 minutes for the product to get tacky before mating the two together and clamping/securing with weight for 24 hours. Works great!

It’s great! Always does what it needs to do. I repaired a shoe. The sole was separating from the upper. Glued it, then let it cure for 24hours. Good as new!

This is the best but does have a strong odor. Be careful as it can cause headache and should be used with a ventilator. This one has precision tips which work out nice depending on the project.

Worst version of E6000

Second time buying this version of e6000 (big tube, precision tip.) BOTH TIMES the tube has burst on me while still being half full. First time I figured it was user error, second time I’m starting to think it’s a tube design flaw. ALWAYS buy the multi pack tiny tubes. That way when the glue inevitably seals itself shut it isn’t a huge loss. Very sad I have to throw away so much glue but I can’t squeeze it without getting glue everywhere.

Great for precise glueing

The glue is easy to use, especially with the extra tips. My mom, who is very particular, saw my son using this glue and wanted to know what kind it was and where to buy it. I ordered them a tube and they were happy to have it.

Versatile & Strong

I bought this product because I needed to repair a piece of jewelry that had a stone missing. The precision tip was perfect for the job. It went on clear and bonded immediately without residue or leaving the stone, cloudy . Has a great price point, and is good for many other projects in the home. I will be keeping this in my toolbox on repeat.

E6000 for crafts

It’s a great glue that holds well. However, I was disappointed with the precision tip. It worked great the first time with it’s fine precision tip for tight areas. I was careful to wipe the tip clean and even poked a pick through both ends of the tip before replacing with the regular tip. The second time around, nothing would come out so I had to squeeze a drop out and apply with a tooth pick. Great concept, if only you could use more than once. If you buy it, try to plan out all your tasks at one sitting and it will do a great job, as long as you don’t put it to rest for a day or more.

Glue Busted Out the Back Seam

Punctured the tip as instructed. Used the precision tips that it came with. Apparently it proved to be too much pressure and it busted the back seam, causing glue to go everywhere. Huge mess to clean up and my project is still not completed.

Glue is gluing

I broke my fridge handle somehow and tried super glue and did not work at all. But with this glue, the handle stuck on as if it didn’t break in the first place.
