Description

BODUM has developed a completely new steel filter for use with our tea presses and POUR OVER coffee. We’ve increased the number of holes compared to the old filters but made them much smaller, allowing all the natural oils and nutrients to pass through while keeping the grounds out of your cup. Invented and produced in our Portuguese factory, the POUR OVER filter ensures more taste, less waste, and keeps environmental considerations at the forefront of everything we do.

Q: Hi. What size coffee grounds is recommended for this filter?

submitted by Preacher - 1 month ago
  • A: Thanks for your question! We recommend using medium-coarse grounds for Pour Overs; if you have the ability to grind your coffee beans at home, aim for a grind that’s not as coarse as you would use for a French Press, but not quite as fine as you would use in a drip coffee machine (or what you would get pre-ground). This is ideal for allowing water to flow steadily through the grounds, while also making sure that excess sediment doesn’t pass through the filter. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out directly to our customer service team at support@bodum.com. Hope this helps!

Q: Is te filter a full cone?

submitted by JFG - 1 month ago
  • A: Thank you for your question! The 12 Cup Pour Over Reusable Stainless Steel Filter is indeed a conical shape, designed to fit inside the cone-shaped lip of our Bodum Pour Overs. This size is specifically designed for our larger, 12-cup size Pour Over. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out directly to our customer service team at support@bodum.com. Hope this helps!

Q: Will this also work in the Bodum 8 cup (34oz) pour over carafe?

submitted by Anonymous - 2 months ago
  • A: Thank you for your question! The 12-cup (51oz) permanent stainless steel pour over filters are slightly larger than the 8-cup size, particularly in height; while this larger filter should still fit into an 8-cup carafe, you might find that it fits very snugly to the sides of the upper cone. We recommend using the 8-cup size filter if possible, since that will provide ideal clearance for the brewed coffee to drip through to the carafe. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out directly to our customer service team at support@bodum.com. Hope this helps!

Q: Can this sit on top of a copco thermal coffee or tea carafe

submitted by anna - 10 months ago
  • A: Thank you for your question! This reusable, stainless steel Pour Over filter is approximately 4.75 inches in diameter (not including the rubberized lip). While we’re not familiar with the aperture size of your Copco Thermal Carafe, if it’s close to this measurement, the filter should fit inside. If it’s smaller, the filter will likely spill over the rim and cause a mess. In that case, we recommend using a sit-on-top Pour Over cone, like the one in our MELIOR Pour Over Coffee Maker, which will more easily rest on top of your carafe. Hope this helps!

Q: Hi, do you offer a single cup stainless steel filter?

submitted by Satisfied customer - 1 year ago
  • A: Thank you for your question! At this time, we don’t offer a single-cup stainless steel replacement pour-over filter, but we recommend checking out our 4-cup pour-over coffee makers instead - since a Bodum cup equals about 4 oz, this size is great for brewing a full 10–12 oz mug with a little extra. Hope this helps!

Finally a reusable filter that doesn't clog

Although the price seemed a bit high, the filter works great for me. Finally a pour over filter that doesn't have plastic and doesn't get clogged after 1 use. IF the strain is not clean enough, just add a bio-degradable brown filter. The paper filter will remove more oils and coffee particulates. I like the metal filter with a paper filter because it precludes a filter failure, where you have to refiter grounds from your coffee. The original Bodum filter had plastic which was always a bit concerning.

Cool coffee filter

Pretty cool coffee filter. I like that it’s reuse able so there’s not so much waste and it’s dish washer safe when you need to wash it. I also like that it’s stainless steel so it won’t rust. I would definitely recommend

Great Reusable Option!

Perfect as a back up to paper filters, or used on its own. It does leave a tiny bit of grit in the cup, but if you are a pour over fan you are used to this. I like a hybrid setup using paper filters with this reusable filter. Just depends on your taste. But this filter fits perfectly and won't disappoint. It is well made and easy to clean.

Delicious coffee in minutes and clean up takes seconds

I'm a self acclaimed coffee snob and I love gadgets - good quality gadgets. This stainless steel pour over coffee filter is made in Europe. The design is simple and beautiful. There is a silicon tab on the edge to hold on to. The seams are smooth. No need for paper filters and mess involved with them. The end result takes maybe 5 minutes and is strong and aromatic. The clean up is simple. I have a new carafe on order but had been using this over my previous carafe without issue. I really like this coffee pour over!
