Anyone who has decided to embrace their natural wave or curl pattern knows it's a journey. And on that journey, you try many products. I bought this on a whim, and when it ran out, I tried something else. When THAT ran out, I went back to this Bumble and Bumble light curl defining cream. And I realized…this is IT for me. (Well, this and the Olaplex No.10 gel and NYM curl mousse. 😂) But never going without this again! It smells lovely (but not excessive), it's lightweight and my waves are so full and defined but incredibly soft. 10/10

This is advertised as a Light Curl Creme, not so much, well for my hair anyways. It does not control frizz, scent is 50/50 and without a base leave in conditioner, it will dry your hair out (I've tried both ways). I have used anywhere from a nickel to a pea sized amount, with and without adding water to thin it more on damp to wet hair, no matter which way it's done, the results are the same, greasy, weighed down, knotted mess. Keep in mind, I brush my hair, I don't do the raking, sectioning, turning head upside down and all that. Always air dry but in my multiple attempts with this curl creme, I did use a diffuser to see if it helped any...it did NOT btw. I have fine, 3B, low density, medium porosity hair, it is always shiny, ringlet curls, soft and never knotted (unless it's windy as heck outside, then that's a different story) and I wash it EVERY SINGLE DAY, sometimes twice a day. I am honestly unsure how BB has so many positive reviews, I have tried a few of their products and they've all been subpar BUT we all have different hair types. Like some people can use drugstore products and have great results (their super lucky and totally envied), others can not, myself being one of them. I'd love to spend less than 20 on a shampoo vs 50 🤣 🤦♀️

Great for wavy hair
I have 2A-2B wavy hair. My waves stay put, though I do get some fizz. I cannot wash my hair daily (it would be brittle and break too easily) and the next day the product does not feel too great on my fingertips, so I usually end up with a braid or pony. The scent is nice, and I do not notice it once it dries, not offensive like other comments mentioned. I would like for BB to have more products for us wavy girls.

Never go wrong with B&B
All of a sudden I have a curl to my hair. I am learning how to deal with it. I am happy with thus. I bought the thicker one first, this is much better.

Smells too strong & doesn't define very well
Smell gives me a headache. Way too strong. Doesn't really define curls. Feels like leave in conditioner and hair feels crunchy.

I buy this on a schedule
I have curly in the front, wavy in the back hair. This cream is my go to, every day, styler. I buy it every month. I don't get product build up, the cast is easy to break, my curls last longer than they ever have. It defines and enhances my curls.

Love this light weight cream for my curly hair. My curls are bouncy and frizz free. I now prefer this light weight cream over the original because my hair is thinner and this cream gives it more volume.

Frizz-free waves
I have medium, naturally wavy hair. I've tried numerous products and this is the only one that shapes my waves without making it "too curly" and it keeps me frizz-free, even the next day or in high humidity. I got a sample of it and was shocked at how well it worked. It's just hydrating enough, but doesn't weigh my hair down or make it look greasy like most curl products. I'm buying the full size now.

Anyone who has curly hair can attest to the myriad of products one tries to use in finding the correct combinations that will work for their hair. The Curly Hair care line of B&B is definitely one of the best curl care lines out there! I will take a break from it sometimes, mistakenly thinking there is something better, and then I always return. This light defining cream is the BEST for moisture and beautiful soft control. My hair is medium thickness, dry and coarse. I found the regular defining cream to be too heavy; this cream is perfect. LOVE the scent. I hate when curl products go the "tropical coconut/vanilla scent" direction. I get intense migraines from anything to sweet and heavy. This scent is totally different and impossible to describe. It is light scent which is what I need but has a bit of a high end "kick" to it. So different! Please never change this formula!

Really wanted to like this
I am was so excited to try this and now I am so sad because I'm a curly girly with fine curly/wavy hair that gets weighed down easily and was looking for a light defining cream. I absolutely love the way it made my hair feel but unfortunately the scent was bugging me. It sadly gave me a headache and I kept sneezing. so if you're sensitive to smell be cautious. Back to the drawing board I go!

Finally something that works!
I have fine 2B hair. For years I have tried "light" creams that left my hair tacky, stringy, weighed down or crunchy. My hair is left soft, hydrated, manageable and maintains volume. I apply to soaking wet hair in sections, plop then air dry (I haven't tried diffusing yet). I can finally feel confident in my natural waves/curls and give my hair a break from buns and hot tools.
