Hello Willie, Thank you for letting us know that your FoodSaver® Everyday Vacuum Sealer with Precut Bags seems to seal but isn’t actually pulling the air out of your bags, we understand how frustrating that can be when you’re trying to preserve food effectively. Often this happens when the bag isn’t positioned correctly in the vacuum channel, there are wrinkles or folds at the open end that prevent a tight seal, or the open end isn’t far enough past the sealing strip for the unit to draw air properly; smoothing the bag and making sure it’s aligned can improve performance. It’s also important to use bags designed for vacuum sealing, keep the sealing area clean and dry, and check that the gaskets and vacuum channel are free of debris so the unit can create the proper suction. If you’ve tried those steps and it still won’t evacuate air, it could be an issue with the internal vacuum mechanism or a worn gasket. Love the smaller model

I had a much older model (15+ years) prior. I'm amazed by the difference in size! This model is very slim compared to the older model and the precut bags make a quick seal even easier. While I was sorry my older model quit, I'm very happy with this smaller model.

Just the Right Size

I have avoided purchasing a food sealer because my space is limited and I thought it would be too bulky. This petite version is perfect! I can now have the convenience of vacuum sealed food without the unit storage worries.

Incorrect Dimensions

I purchased this to replace my previous Foodsaver, and was looking for something around the same size. This product is listed as 12.8” in length, which is a little longer than my first one, but it’s actually 14.5”, and won’t fit in the spot I use for my Foodsaver. Honestly, how difficult is it to have correct dimensions listed??

Check Bag Placement: Ensure the open end of the precut bag is placed flat, at least 1-2 inches inside the vacuum channel, with no wrinkles or folds. Gently stretch the bag to keep it. 2. Clean the Vacuum Channel and Gaskets: Debris, moisture, or food particles in the vacuum channel or on the gaskets can prevent a proper seal. Wipe the channel with a damp cloth and mild soap, and ensure the gaskets are clean and properly seated. If gaskets appear worn, consider replacing them. 3. Inspect the Drip Tray: A full or dirty drip tray can disrupt suction. Empty and clean it with warm, soapy water, then dry thoroughly before use. 4. Avoid Overheating: If you’re sealing multiple bags in a row, wait 20 seconds between cycles to prevent the sealing strip from overheating, which can cause inconsistent sealing. 5. Use Compatible Bags: Ensure you’re using FoodSaver precut bags or compatible high-quality bags, as non-compatible bags may not seal properly. 6. Check the Seal Bar: Run the sealer without a bag and gently touch the seal bar after the cycle. It should be warm, not cold or overly hot. A disappointment

When trying to seal something juicy, the juice continues to be extracted during the sealing process. It leaves gaps in the seal, letting air back in. My older model worked better.

It may be necessary to pre-freeze moist/soft food items to prevent moisture from compromising an effective vacuum/seal. These items include meats, fish, poultry, soft fruits, and blanched vegetables. We recommend to pre-freeze meats and other moist foods for 1-2 hours before vacuum sealing. Excess liquids from moist foods can cause the unit not to vacuum and permanent damage can occur. We LOVE it!

This works great! We have a FoodSaver at home and I was really missing it when we go South for the winter. Saw this on the website and purchased it. We love it! Simple to use and works great. Chips were getting stale so this certainly takes care of that problem. We can now purchase larger portions of meats, etc and freeze them.

Good replacement

We bought this FoodSaver brand after another brand of vacuum sealer’s foam seal failed and replacement parts were unavailable. My wife likes this FoodSaver much better, it is less complicated to use and replacement parts, if needed, are available.

Won’t seal

I bought this 3 days ago didn’t seal evenly so we ended up returning it still looking to replace the one we had for 15+ years. There is nothing as nice as that one available

So sad

It doesn’t work as soon as I got it today I tried it and didn’t even vacuum sealed it only sealed though. So I I’m returning this sighs to bad I can’t used this. I will just gonna look on other food saver vacuum sealers . A waste of money!
