Grandson loved this
I bought this for my 4-year-old grandson for Christmas, and he loved it! It's nice a chunky and easy for him to handle. His little sister kept trying to take it away to have a turn.

Nice Idea but Hard to use
We just got this tape measure and I was a bit disappointed. My 4 yr old was unable to wind the tape back up. I even had a challenge doing it. Nice idea but hard to use.

BORING!!
I cannot imagine any 3 yr old who would find this entertaining, let alone a 6 yr old. It's way too basic. The ONLY reason to wait until 3 would be the crank is a little hard to turn for smaller children.
