  • A: My guess is plastic (Hamilton should answer this). Mine which appears identical (bought used) is thick glass which I think is a good choice. The weight probably helps with it not sliding around.

    Pass on this one!

    I wish I would have throughly looked at the reviews before I purchased this. This blender does not chop up cubes of ice & it struggles chopping up a frozen banana. Skip this one and find something better.

    Made of cheap plastic

    This blender is made of cheap plastic I don't think is going to last few months. I had previously purchased the same brand blender and were made to last for years. NOT THIS ONE. The cap is made of plastic, before it used to be made of solid glass. So I don't expect too much from this blender.

    Tons of power

    More like a mixer, does not blend

    Tried to make a basic smoothie with liquid and frozen fruit, could not even attempt to blend the frozen fruit it just stopped the blades in its tracks and kept the motor roaring. Tried every button; turning the blender a different way would briefly do something but nothing I tried was enough. Epic fail!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this blender and it is great for smoothies. Also, in the summer I make Ice Tea foam. You add a bunch of ice, ice tea mix of your choice and very little water and crush with the blender. Add a bit more ice if needed to make it a form. Great for hot summer days.
