    Homemade is just better!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's so easy to make jelly at home! Here i made grape jelly, from start to finish, in an hour. I made 6 half pint jars with just 4 cups of concord grape juice and I have enough pectin left over for 15 more batches. This tub will last me quite a while, it's huge. It tastes way better than store bought jelly, and you know exactly what is in it since you made it yourself.

    Strawberry festival, perfect

I hunted for the right recipe and landed on Raspberry Jam because it seemed foolproof. It's winter, so I used frozen raspberries instead of fresh. The pectin helped the jam firm up to the right consistency, and the final product tasted great. I can't wait for summer so I can try more complex and sophisticated recipes like the Peach and Orange Honey Blossom recipe on the Ball website.

Now that i’ve been able to try Ball Caassic powdered pectin, i realize it not difficult to use, not messy, and i had much better luck getting the jam to solidify this time. The jam tastes great, no aftertaste to worry about. I also love the ability to adjust usage based ion batch size. The easy to seal jar can be used multiple times.

This pectin is amazing to help reach the desired consistency and we have always had great results. It’s easy to use and we have never had an issue.     Do not buy to make jelly.

    I used this for jelly making since I didn’t have any sure jell. I followed the instructions, and TWICE (after double checking the instructions) it failed to set. Wish I could give zero stars. Love their brand of jars and lids, though!
