Burns my face
I wanted to love this, since I love the ordinary, but this product burns and irritates my skin every time I apply it.. which is surprising since it is supposed to be a soothing barrier support product, but I noticed each time after using this my skin would get irritated with a slight burn, I was able to narrow it down to this product causing this irritation once I removed it and brought it back into my routine, and i typically add this after HA, but before the natural moisturizer both from the ordinary also. Would not recommend

Smells like particle board wood
I think my skin is softer but I can’t tell. I don’t really think it does much and I’m half through the bottle. It doesn’t pill that I’ve experienced. It’s huge downside? It smells 100% like particle board/wood. It literally is exactly like wood from the hardware store.

Application Matters!
Truly helps with repairing the skin barrier and hydrating skin. I didn't like it at first, but I was using it wrong. Drop a few drops onto your fingers and lightly rub fingers to get to warm product. Gently sweep across skin, then press product into the skin. Wait about 30 seconds, then add hyaluronic acid on top (important!), applying the same way. Let completely dry before moisturizing (again, applying the same way. You shouldn't have any pilling this way.) This method shouldn't leave any residual redness/pinkness from the product on the skin. Use twice a day if skin can tolerate it. I really noticed a difference in my skin once applying correctly!

This serum pills like crazy and I am convinced it has clogged my pores. No matter how long I wait in between skincare steps, it peels and can even burn if my skin is extra dry. Crazy… since its supposed to be a soothing serum.

Horrible Breakout
Caused a horrible breakout. As an adult I’ve always had fairly clear skin that isn’t too sensitive, but using this only 3 or 4 times irritated my skin and gave me the worst breakout of my life (and it’s taking weeks to slowly go away). I thought it was a coincidence, but there are hundreds of reviews on the ordinary’s website with the same feedback. Even if you don’t break out from it, using it leaves a pink cast on the skin and causes all other skin care products or makeup to pill off.

Skin saver for tret users
This one is a holy grail for me. I started using Tretinoin and nothing could take down the peeling skin & redness (around my eyes, nose, chin). I now double cleanse using naturium glow getter, then prequel glycerin facewash. I don’t even dry it off before adding hyaluronic acid then cosrx peptide booster then this pink serum then snail mucin then let that dry down & top with la roche posay baume & finally aquaphor thinly over just the dry spots!! This was the ONLY thing to repair my barrier.

Game changer for my skin
I was nervous about trying this based on some other reviews, but it has only helped me skin. I am in my 40s and deal with breakouts, also my skin dries out dramatically every fall through spring. The first night I used this, I noticed an immediate difference when I washed my face the next morning. My skin texture was smoother and felt incredibly soft and "plump" for lack of a better term, plus my dry patches were noticeably better as well and there was less overall redness. I use the Niacinimide 10% first, let it soak in, apply this, then a layer of Natural Moisturizing Factors before bed every night. I have not had any additional breakouts or bumps since I started using this two weeks ago.

Hydrates and calms sensitive skin. The color is Pepto pink, but it doesn't leave pink residue on skin. I use morning and night after cleansing and toning with the Saccharomyces toner and my skin is smooth and hydrated with zero redness and irritation. Great for combination skin - it keeps oily and dry areas balanced.
