  • A: Thanks for your inquiry. Our JBL Charge 6 has Auracast, which allows it to pair with our speakers that have Auracast. You can pair it to our JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi SE since they both have Auracast, but you can not pair it to our JBL Charge 5, as it uses PartyBoost.

    Great upgrade for pool parties and summer fun!

    I spent quite a bit of time researching portable speakers to use by the pool. I wanted to make sure it was loud enough for outside gatherings, wouldn't stop working if it got a little wet, and had great sound quality. This met and exceeded all my expectations! I had no trouble commecting it to my iPhone (which is several years old) and was playing music in no time. The kiddos love that the sides vibrate with the beat. The music is crisp and loud enough to be heard across my back yard -- which isn't huge but didn't happen with the lasy speaker I had. Highly recommend if you're in the market - and if you're reading this review, you probably are.

    Bought this a few months ago for my daughter’s birthday. Now I want one and so do my other children. Fantastic speaker! The sound is excellent, volume high. Charging time brilliant. Battery life even better! Most DEFINITELY recommend! Got it the cheapest around on this site which makes it even better! Very happy with it.

    The speaker is a great speaker but it is annoying when you would like to charge the speaker and you have a beeping sound. I have read about Salt detection and if the charger port is wet. The part about wet is not bad but the salt part we are on an island and around salt water with air. It had become a very annoying feature as the speak will not charge.

    Powerhouse

    Just received today from my sons for Mother’s Day. Excellent sound, love how powerful this small Bluetooth speaker makes it seem like you’re right in the middle of a concert. It’s amazing how loud it is. I highly recommend to anyone. I will use daily, on vacations, cookouts and much more!!

    Perfect birthday present!

    Bought this for my partner's birthday and they love it. I'm very please I chose this model, the size is small enough to be portable (much smaller than the Xtreme or the Boombox), but big enough to pack a punch (quite a bit bigger than the Flip). We have been using it for one month and have had no problem with connectivity with both Android and iOS. The sound quality and volume are excellent. I bought the blue version and I think I would be happy to recommend this product.

    Is JBL intentionally down grading products?

    I was happy with my Charge 6 til after I done an update. After the update the volume is not as loud as it was.

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We recommend adjusting the EQ settings via the JBL Portable app to see if it will fix the volume issue. You might also try connecting the unit to a different device or performing a reset by pressing and holding the Volume (+) and Play buttons simultaneously until the unit powers off.
