  • A: Mine cracked when I took it out of the refrigerator and microwaved it for one minute. Total piece of crap made from cheap materials. Quality tempered class should not break like this, so this product obviously has NOT been tested properly before being sold. And this is the 2nd time it’s happened to me.

  • A: I definitely wouldn't. Fast temperature changes seem to be bad. I was adding eggs to mine (that had been out of the fridge for 10 minutes) to a cooked hash brown base and the hot + cool causes two to crack.

    Do not buy, aill shattwr

    Would give 0 stars if i could. Two of them have completely shattered after all of the food had cooled I put the lid on and they broke. This in turn made me have to throw away two perfectly good meals. Glass isnt supposed to shatter with room temperature or cold food. Doesn’t make sense. Poor quality item.

    Crack when heated

    I loved them. Wouldn’t recommend using these to reheat dishes in microwave or airfryer/oven. I have had 3 of a set of 5 crack mid heat.

    Ello starage containers

    These containers look good and that is it. All the rubber seals have come out and is almost impossible for them to put back in. When you do get them back in, they don’t stay in. Total headache. I am hoping I can return these without the box

    Wonderful glassware

    I got a 2 pc with lids of the ello everyday glass meal prep, 4. 5 cup size. I got them for Mothers Day. I have tried one in the microwave already and I really like it alot. Plus leftovers could be stored in the same dish, in the refrig after cooling. So nice for a single mom.

    Terrible silicone

    Good quality glass. Easy to use lids. SILICONE BASE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED BEFORE WASHING. The product description says keep it on but it collects mold. I threw them all away. They still work without it. Such a hassle.

    Poor design

    The silicone bottom is a sleeve and moves and comes off so easy. Even just out of the box before washing. We have the previous wrap style and those have trapped junk and was hoping these solved that issue with an attached silicone bottom.

    Crack easily. Microwave and dishwasher safe but I placed them in the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes and they crack. Two are gone. The other three, I still use but have to use one minute intervals when heating up to make sure they don’t crack.

    They’re super cute but looks can only take you so far. I’ve had this glassware for I believe the last year or two and along the way i have lost about 3 containers from small drops and from them bumping into another glass in the dishwasher. While the other brands I’ve bought have literally stood up the test of time from tall devastating drops, these couldn’t cut it. I even tried investing in the variety pack and had to exchange and finally return it twice because they would break before it would get to my place. The silicone did nothing really to protect the glass and they would always fall off. I really wanted to love these because they’re so cute but fate had other plans.

    I won't use anything else!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these. Ello glass containers are the only ones we will buy. We've had two sets of the single entree' ones for 3 years and have been so happy with them. They have held up to meal prep and daily use, as well as the wear and tear of our 10 or 13 year old doing dishes. When I saw these I immediately ordered a set. There are times I really wish I could keep items separated in my lunch. I love that with these, I can meal prep and bake straight in them. I just line a baking sheet with containers and make several different meals for the week all at once. When Im done, they cool, I pop on a lid and they go straight into the freezer. I pull one out every morning and pop it in my lunchbox and its ready to reheat by munch time.
