Great buy Amazing OLED
Had this TV for a few weeks now and am happy with the purchase. The screen is distinctly bright even in the bright living room. Unbeatable OLED with stunning blacks and contrast. Watching movies is cinematic and playing HD games is really immersive. The remote is controller is handy with an easy layout but missing a mute button (need to hold down - the volume button to mute). The voice recognition is very accurate on these models so easy to search for anything on YouTube if you hate typing. I would recommend this TV.

Picture Quality is Amazing!

I really love the vibrant colors and the darks looks so much richer and deeper. I wanted the 42 inch size because of the small space I have in my office and it's perfect because with such thin bezels I have more display area. Although, I love the Magic Remote because it's so easy to quickly navigate to an app or anything else on the TV. I just wished they would add a dedicated mute button. Overall, I would recommend this TV to my family and friends.

LG 42” smart TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shipping was very quick I received it within three days, which was a nice surprise. The TV wasn’t too heavy, and I was able to lift and set it up on my own. Taking it out of the box was simple, and putting the legs on only took four screws (two on each side). Turning it on and getting everything set up was easy. All I had to do was create an LG account and connect it to Wi-Fi with my password. It comes with a lot of smart apps already installed, which makes it convenient, and the remote has shortcut buttons for quick access to some of them. The picture quality is very clear and looks amazing. Overall, this TV is the perfect size for what I was looking for, and so far I’m really happy with it. Bright and colorful screen
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent screen contast and color. The remote control is tricky to learn how to use. I suggest getting an expert (your grandson?) to show you how to use it. Written explanations did not work for me. I am greadually learning how. Also the smartphone controller is helpful but only after your grandson shows you how to use it as well. This is actually a computer with TV attached. But just about all TV's to day are like that. I did chose the LG because it has superior lifetime and will last longer. Cheaper TV's might look almost as good but evental failure modes might force you to buy another. The so-called help connection takes you to an outsice provider asking you for your credit card number. In the long run you are better off just buying the instalation service from the store if it includes setting up and teaching you how to use it.

New LG 42 Inch C5
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely satisfied with the picture quality of the C5. The 4K upscaling of our Blu-Ray collection is exceptional. Size was a limitation and the newer 2026 model did not offer much of an upgrade over the 2025 model. An additional positive is I have been able to take advantage of the Auracast feature for consumers who are hard of hearing and have compatible hearing aids. I'm also excited about the future WebOS updates that come with this purchase. The only minor negative is there are no inputs for legacy AV components. Fortunately, my old VCR/DVD combo has an HDMI output. Very happy to add a second LG OLED TV to my home.

Thumb wheel on the remote control failed two times in six months. Both replacement remote controls took 7-10 days, no remote no TV. I would not buy this LG OLED65C5AUA again.

The Best TV Upgrade I've Ever Made

The TV came with free mounting, which was very helpful. The display is easy use and set up, and the UI is easy to navigate. The sound quality is also great. I watch a lot of movies and have noticed a big improvement in my at-home movie watching experience. The only complaint I have is that I wish there was a “select” or “ok” button on the remote, since the middle button is easy to accidentally scroll on. Excellent brightness, colours and customisation. Always shocked by the clarity and brilliance of a OLED panel. The remote controller is my main concern. It has a few unnecessary buttons and the middle scroll wheel doesn’t function beside activating the pointer feature, which could be remapped to one of the other buttons, freeing up the scroll wheel for the many menu options that could use it. The menu UI is a bit big and intrusive, sometimes slow to operate. I got this TV for a discounted price but I would happily pay full price for this. If you want beautiful picture accuracy for films and games, this is 100% the best tv for you. Also, little tip, If you really want to test this TV, find a high quality version of The Revenant, that movie is a technically perfect tech demo.
