Mucinex® Sinus-Max® Clear & Cool Nasal Spray provides temporary relief from nasal congestion due to a cold, hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies, sinus congestion and pressure, and helps clear nasal passages; shrinks swollen membranes. This product will not provide any cough relief. Hope this helps.

Per the FDA Final Administrative Order (OTC000026) Over-the-Counter Monograph M012, for a 0.05% aqueous solution of oxymetazoline hydrochloride, adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age can take 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril not more often than every 10 to 12 hours, not to exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period. Given these dosing directions, a user can take no more than 4-6 sprays in total per 24-hours. Given the instructions on how to prime the pump along with variability in consumer usage, we do not indicate number of sprays or doses on the label as this can vary.
