submitted by EmmaInWashington - 8 months ago
  • A: It shouldn't. But it does.

  • A: How much sugar is in this cereal and salt

submitted byKathy - 2 months ago
  • A: Look where it says 'Details' and you can read all the ingredients and nutritional values, it will show you how much sugar and sodium there is per serving.

submitted byTlynfav - 24 days ago

Q: Why aren't you showing pictures of the entire box? A lot of food items Target sells has bioengineered ingredients and consumers should be aware.

submitted by No Thank You - 1 year ago
  • A: Confirmed these have bioengineered food ingredients

submitted byhpycmpr - 1 year ago
  • A: You don't need to see the entire box, look where it says 'Details' and you can read all the ingredients and nutritional values. To answer your question NO the cereal has NO bioengineered ingredients.

Q: dry cups per serving?

submitted by tall - 2 years ago
  • A: It states 12 serving per container but that would be equal to 2oz. per serving. The box is 24oz. so if you want a 1cup serving there would only be 3 servings per box as 8oz. is equal to 1 cup.

submitted byTlynfav - 1 year ago
  • A: You are confusing weight and volume. The box is measured by weight but the serving is measured by volume. These are very different I have ir and you get quite a few servings er box.

Q: is this cereal gluten free

submitted by Maggie Mae - 5 years ago
  • A: It's as gluten free as any of the cheerios actually labelled gluten free. They use whole grain oats in all, not certified gluten free oats, so even the ones labeled gluten free may have traces.

submitted byKatisGlutenFree - 4 years ago
  • A: No, this cereal isn't Gluten Free. Please always check the product packaging to verify whether or not one of our cereals is Gluten Free, as recipes can sometimes change.

Be careful when u open the large box.

Plain cheerios are my favorite cereal but the size of box is too big and I can’t stand it up in cabinet and it’s kind of messy.

    Cheerios Strawberry Protein cereal

Honestly its delicious! But if youre thinking "Hey, this would be great to add to my diet!", beware. While it has no High Fructose Syrup, and is high on protein, it does have 22% added sugars in each portion. Whether you're looking for something healthy in the morning or are diabetic, I'd skip this and look elsewhere.

Taste like cardboard & low nutritional value

Sometimes foods that add protein to boost nutritional value taste like cardboard because of what kinda of protein they use and failure to compensate in the recipe for dryness and taste. You know this tastes wrong and your kids will tell you right away that something is wrong with their cereal. Sadly i haven’t found one of Cheerios protein flavors that measured up to the organic brands that have been at this for years. I have also found that the organic brands have MUCH LESS sugar and are *naturally* fortified with more vitamins and minerals. Cheerios says on its box that it is “bioengineered food”. 🤨 NUTRITIONAL VALUE: Cheerios Protein cereals are below other mass market cereals. Photo below is a side beside of nutrition details of a Cheerios Protein(left) and regular Life Cereal (right) Compare. Cheerios has only 4 grams more of protein BUT Life Cereal surpassed it in the other nutritional categories while using less added sugars. Cheerios has 20% DV of Iron and life has 70% Iron. Cheerios 20% DV Folate and Life 60% DV Folate. If you are a woman these 2 minerals matter and these differences should. So stop making yourself eat stuff eat food that tastes like cardboard! Read labels. Satisfy your cells and your palettes. Cheerios Protein cereal flavors didn’t do that for our family.

    Why change?

I eat Cheerios every day because I really enjoy the taste. As soon as I had my first spoonful from the most recent box I had purchased at the grocery store I immediately knew something was different (and not in a good way). I tried some without milk and confirmed my suspicions. Not even close. It is almost tasteless compared to what I am accustomed to and whatever taste it has is not at all enjoyable. In fact it tastes similar to those less expensive "non-brand" labels I've tried in the past. I have had three bowls since and have decided I do not want to eat this for breakfast any longer. I'm not one to throw things away, especially since this is in a double box (I go through a double box on my own in two weeks), but I have to make an exception this time. Not sure why a company with an 80-year reputation would choose to change a product so drastically other than possibly to save money. I can't imagine that the decision was made as a result of taste "improvements".

    Awful!

Used to be my favorite, but they've changed the recipe. The last 5 boxes were awful. I couldn't even eat them and I will not take a chance again.... 5 times is too many chances.

    Stop with the heart shapes!

I have been eating Cheerios for over 60 years, but the heart shapes ruin my enjoyment. They just break apart and I am left with a box of broken pieces. I will be eating store brand until this is stopped.

    Taste great!

I buy the cinnamon flavor. It’s so good. You don’t feel guilty eating a bowl because you’re adding some protein. Better alternative to other sugary cereals.
