Q: We purchased the navigator but it is very difficult to manuever on our plush carpet. We have set it to minimum and carpet but I still have difficulty pushing it. Is there something we are doing?

A: It has a kind of brush thing that allows you to use it on stairs or upholstery but it does not have an independent motor that turns this upholstery tool. It's just a very small thing you hold up. The pictures show it. It does everything I need for upholstery. It also has a crevice tool.

The suction on this is great, it works well on both tile and carpet. HOWEVER, EVERYTHING gets stuck in the curves of the hoses where the hard plastic and flexible hose meets, causing clogs. I have been able to snake out most of the clogs except one. I even bought Shark specific screwdrivers to open it up, but no success because of the location of the clog. Complete waste of money as this happened within only 3 months of purchasing it.

My first one of these didn't last long..maybe a few years. I tried one more time, bought another and something is wrong with the motor, it makes an insanely loud noise and smells like smoke last time I used it. So it's now going into the trash. I had that one for only a year! What is wrong with products only lasting a year or so now? I can't afford that! I like it when it works but I can't keep buying a new one every 1-2 years lol. I empty the trash bin after every use etc, take good care of it. Ugh.

This is the third Shark I buy I’ve never owned a different vacuum! Excellent suction. Only complaint is this one is so good that I can’t vacuum my small entryway rugs cause it sucks them up. Even on hard floor setting!

Bought this shark because I wanted to see how well it would hold up to the Bissell we have and I have been wanting a new vacuum, let me just saw how amazing this shark is, I cannot get over how much cat hair and dirt it picked up and I had just vacuumed with my Bissell the day before. I purchased this vacuum in March of 2025 and as of July 2025 it was stopped working. For reference, I have mostly carpeted floors and two shedding dogs. The motor in the bottom completely stopped working and no longer sucks anything up. It's a complete waste of junk. The handheld was the only nice part because it could reach pretty far. But the floor brush would constantly get clogged, the canister doesn't hold much, and it didn't even last 6 months. Skip the Shark brand

Just opened this and 8 of the 10 attachments are missing. This is the 2nd one. Same issue. Target needs to do some quality control and check these boxes before putting them back on the shelf.

I bought it for a suction power, which is great however it is impossible to get underneath beds or even short tables. Returning to get something that can have canister removed while vacuuming to get under bed and this one does not have a light either which I never thought I’d like, but I do.

This is a disposable vacuum. Seemed to work great for the first couple times, but not really good for dog hair as it get stuck in the rollers and it clogs the tube very easily.

Vacuuming is essentially my 2nd full time job. With 2 Bernese Mt Dogs and a newt freak obsession, I need a vacuum that would be easy to clean and had good suction. This does that. I bought this as a replacement to the dyson animal ball (said bernese ate the cord..) and surprisingly in comparison, this isn’t a bad alternative. The dyson definitely glides smoother but the detachable arm on the shark is far more versatile than the dyson arm. The debris compartment is easy to dump and as minimal contact with contents. A con is the cord is semi short in my opinion in comparison to the dyson. The vacuum does seem to be on the quieter side to me and the suction is decent for the price point. I easily vacuum 5x a day to keep up and so far no real complaints in functionality.

Do not waste your money on this vacuum. I’ve owned it for three weeks. All it does is spit out everything it initially sucked up. It’s also not good with hair. Have to pull the hair out manually for you to continue use. Complete waste of money .
