Icy Hot Original Pain-Relieving Balm with Menthol - 3.5oz

In the beginning it worked. It don't now. No changes in health.

After a muscle strain during physical activity, I applied ICYHOT BALM to the area, massaging until the product was absorbed by the skin. It gets quite warm when applied and then the muscles begin to relax and the strain stops hurting. An excellent product.

Original or Extra Strength? What is the difference?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the product, it does what it says hot to treat icy to cool. It does have a distinct smell to it, which I could stand , but others may not. It is in a somewhat solid state and is easier to apply when rubbed to loosen up. The problem with my test was it was applied on my back, so there was no easy way to apply it by yourself. It heated up nicely on the spot it was put ,but if it was on your skin without pain it could also kind of burn. I liked that the container was small so I could take it with me.

This product really starts working fast and provides great pain relieving coverage that allowed me to go to work without any more pain and added strain on my lower back area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its been a few years since I’ve used Icy Hot. It was nice to remember how well it worked. I brought this with me on vacation and glad I did. I did alot of walking, and my knees acted up. So, Icy Hot came to the rescue. It was a great relief to my knees.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love icy hot products. However I am just not in love with this one. I don’t like having to rub it in and then my fingers have the icyhot in them. Even after washing my hands, it’s already taking effect. Unless I wear gloves to apply it, I probably wouldn’t use this again. It does however work like any other icy hot. Application is the only issue I have.

This one as it starts out cold then warms up other balms you cannot feel anything. I highly recommend this if you have muscle and joint pain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been a user of IcyHot but it's always been the cream form, this was a nice new way of utilizing IcyHot with a different texture when applying. This rubbed in to my skin quite well & didn't stain my clothes or anything. It had the typical menthol smell & feel as the original, wish there was an unscented version of this though.

The only issue I have with this product is the application. The balm is really hard inside the container. It is a little difficult to get out. It needs to be a softer consistency.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have chronic back pain, and am constantly using heating pads and ice packs, but of course these unwieldy items prevent me from getting up and moving around. Naturally, as Icy Hot has been around forever I've known OF it, but due to jokes about this product being solely for use by the elderly (entirely unjustified!) I never considered trying it. Thanks to Home Tester Club I have become enlightened and I wish to share my newfound wisdom! Icy Hot is essentially a heating pad + an ice pack in one. No more dripping bags of peas defrosting in my bed - no more burns from lying on a heating pad for hours - freedom from the chains of my bed or couch! I am able to rub this magical potion in and feel the tingling and warming sensation of my pain melting away and continue about my day. The only issue I have with this is that it gets on clothing, so I like to cover the product with gauze or wear an old t-shirt when I am using it so as to prevent leaving greasy spots wherever I touch.
