Fellow Aiden Precision Coffee Maker Matte Black

We have had our Aiden for a month now and couldn’t be more happy with the purchase! Makes an extremely excellent single serve or batch coffee! So good, that we barely resort to our “Sunday pour over” routine because it tastes THAT GOOD! Love,love,love it! Love the modern aesthetics of the machine. Tucks in neatly on the counter. Anyone that comes over to visit is instantly intrigued by its look, ease of use, customization and then immediately looking it up online to buy once they took a sip! I usually ignore product reviews or surveys, but Aiden deserves my applause!

Love everything about Aiden except the fact that the pour spout dribbles when the thermos is about 3/5 full or more. It really is a downer since the design is so clean and beautiful. I worry that over time, coffee drips will stain the pure white exterior.

A fantastic coffee maker. It’s pretty and the coffee taste great. Lots of adjustables, the app is nice. If I could change one thing it would be being able to start an instant brew from the app. I set the timer for the morning but if I wake up early I either have to schedule a new time, or get out of bed and manually start it. Seems a quick start button could be added to the app. Other than that minor thing it’s by far my favorite machine and I’ve had a lot of them over the decades.

Very consistent, with excellent pre-programmed formulas for basic roast types. My only minor nitpick is that it is not short enough to operate under my kitchen cabinets, and yet not tall enough to accept most 15 oz travel cups. A cutout in the center of the carafe tray would still allow support for the carafe, but allow more cups to fit under the showerhead.

I have had the coffee maker for about a month. I like everything about the coffee maker except for the carafe. If you make a full pot (10 cups), it is next to impossible to not spill coffee when pouring. It works reasonably well when brewing 8 cups or less.

This machine makes incredible coffee. I love the design details, the user interface, and the endless options for adjusting brewing parameters. Love the indestructible carafe and removable water tank. The only place this product loses points for me is the length of time the carafe keeps coffee warm - it’s 30 min - not hours as advertised. However, it doesn’t burn the coffee as it sits and is far superior to other coffee makers I’ve tried.

I bought the Aiden as part of a bundle. Was disappointed to learn during the ordering process that bundles don't qualify for the 10%. The coffee maker is excellent and the interface, including making your own brewing program, is very intuitive. It brews and excellent cup of coffee and seems to be well made.

Amazing coffee from a machine. It’s close to perfect pour over coffee. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is at making coffee. Yes it’s expensive but it definitely delivers on the quality of the coffee.

This is the 3rd one that I got, Love how it taste and smart setup. If you are those only want one touch and dark espresso then this is not for you. If you enjoy to grind, weight and brew, then this is perfect.

Got the white Aiden unit. Beautiful machine & makes great coffee. I can’t speak for the durability, but we are super happy with the purchase thus far. You can dial in your coffee in very granular way. I am having fun making subtlety different flavored coffee from the same beans by playing with the parameters (light — medium — dark roast profiles)

I am very particular. Can’t say I can taste all the notes in coffee, but can definitely tell good from bad. I have tried hundreds, if not thousands of dolllers in coffee equipment, from French press, awropress,espresso, pour over, drip, etc. the combination of the Aiden, the Ode grinder, and the fellow drops changed my world. The Aiden was a game changer, but once I learned that Fellow also gives a starting point for the grind size with their grinder, I had great coffee from batch one, with only micro movements to adjust. For example, my last drop suggested a grind setting way courser than typical. It would have wasted half the bag (expensive bag) or coffee before I got to a coffee experience that did not case me to wince. My very first cup was spot on! I am a true believer in fellows mission and products!

The Fellow Aiden coffee brewer has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. One of the key reasons I chose this brewer is its SCA certification, which ensures a consistently high standard of coffee quality. I previously used the Behmor Brazen plus 3.0 since they discontinued the app centric version of this coffee maker, but I was looking for a more advanced and feature-rich brewer—and Aiden has delivered. From a design standpoint, Aiden surpasses my previous machine. Its sleek, modern aesthetic pairs perfectly with my other Fellow products, making it a stylish centerpiece on my countertop. While some have questioned whether it meets Fellow’s premium build standards, I personally disagree. Though I wouldn’t have minded the use of even more high-end materials, the Aiden still feels solid, well-crafted, and worthy of its price point. The coffee it produces is outstanding—smooth, flavorful, and perfectly extracted every time. It consistently outperforms my manual pour-over attempts, making my morning routine both easier and more enjoyable. The Fellow app is another highlight, adding convenience to the brewing process. However, there’s room for improvement. It would be helpful if the app displayed the water level status to avoid guessing whether I need to refill the tank. Additionally, a brew timer showing the elapsed time would be a practical touch with viewing from in the application. Even better, a future software update could enable remote brewing—imagine starting a pre-loaded brew from bed or while getting ready just before walking out the door. And while waiting for the brew to complete ,why not allow the game to be available for more fun while waiting? There are a couple of design tweaks I’d love to see. While I’m not asking for a traditional pause-and-serve feature, I do think Aiden could be engineered to prevent dripping when removing the carafe something that could double as a pause-and-serve option for some users. Not ideal for purest but even after the brew is completely finished I still get drips that make the machine unnecessarily dirty Additionally, a cleaning setting with guided steps on both the machine’s screen and the app would simplify maintenance. Finally, the carafe could be enhanced to hold the coffee at an optimal temperature for longer. It’s great for the first cup, but I’d love if my second cup stayed just as hot and flavorful without needing to use an Ember mug to slightly raise the temperature. Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed with the Fellow Aiden. It combines beautiful design with excellent brewing performance, making it a standout machine. While there’s room for some thoughtful software and hardware refinements, it already makes better coffee than I ever could with a pour-over. If you’re looking for a top-tier brewer that offers both style and substance, I highly recommend the Fellow Aiden.

I hate giving anything 5 stars, especially when it has one or two small quirks. Nevertheless, I am very happy with this device after one whole week. First the disclaimer: I have been drinking coffee for decades, but am fairly new to specialty coffee and pourers – take that for what it's worth. I strongly suggest that anyone seriously interested in buying this brewer go watch the reviews by James Hoffman and Aramse on YouTube, I pretty much agree with them. In the pour over mode, this brewer is great so far. Once you set up profiles for individual coffees, especially those furnished by Fellow, the results are pretty impressive with the small basket that works up to about 450 milliliters. The batch brewing in the bigger basket is as good as I've found with the higher end competition. To be fair, if you are doing primarily batch brewing at the same temperature, other machines (like the Moccamaster) have longer warranties, are made with less plastic, and are simpler to operate. Fellow provides detailed downloadable profiles for a number of coffees, and I think all the coffees that they sell in their Fellow Drops program. Personally, I wish Fellow would coordinate a way for users to share profiles for all coffees on their site, and would profile more, but I'm also using Drops because I'm lazy (and so far happy with the coffee). If you are seriously interest in obtaining the optimum extraction with an automated machine, this one is awesome so far. If you just want a batch the same way every morning, this one will do it fine, but that's not its claim to fame. Issues: See Hoffman and Aramse reviews.I do feel that the brew benefits from a stir before pouring, which means opening the carafe lid and using a spoon. I'm not a thermos expert but if I wanted the coffee to be hot for more than, say, 30-45 minutes (this is a guess), I'd probably decant it into another vessel. Initially, it's fine. The carafe is well made, and so easy to get my hand in to clean unlike others. My biggest regret is that there is no way to watch the shower head working into the slurry; I can only see the grounds after the cycle has finished.
