Q: can i use this for grater too?
A: yes. There is a separate shredding disk that works super fast and does a great job. If you turn the disk over, you can use it for slicing but in my experience it doesn't do a uniform job. This machine is fantastic for the price.
submitted bysweetbee - 7 years agoA: Depending on what you are grating it may be used as a grater. A hard type of cheese would work but using a softer type probably wouldn't
submitted byHamiltonBeachTeam - 5 years agoBrand expertA: No, you can't, but it's kind of similar.

Q: Does this processor work for blending ice and frozen fruit?
A: What can it do then? Lol
submitted byBianca Borris - 6 years agoA: Thank you for your question. We do not recommend that this appliance is used to blend ice or frozen fruit. For best results, we would recommend a Hamilton Beach blender.

Q: Would this be able to make peanut/almond butters? Is it strong enough/would the motor burn out?
A: Thank you for your question. Nut butters can be made successfully in food processors. However, the thick mixtures can challenge the motors of small food processors. For food processors of this size and motor type, we would recommend using roasted nuts verses raw nuts. Roasting draws moisture out of the nuts so the dryer nuts slice quicker. This allows the oils to be extracted and blended into a nut butter faster with less stress on the motor. Quantity of nuts will also affect the amount of processing time. We recommend processing no more than 3 cups of nuts at a time. If making nut butters is a primary task that you would like to use a food processor for, consider selecting a food processor with a more robust motor that can handle the tougher jobs.

Q: Can this turn frozen freeze pops into slushy drinks?
A: Never tried it, but you would need to do trial and error. Maybe start with ice cubes and see what you get. Then dial it down for freeze pops.
submitted bybkr - 7 years agoA: No, this is for food processing and is not designed to chop ice. If the freeze pop was softened first it might work but anything too hard will hurt the appliance.
