A: Yes, in standby mode press the 0 for 2 seconds. When the display shows "loc" press the 7 pad and then the 9 pad. Display shows ULoc and the buzzer will beep once. The child lock is now deactivatated

Not worth the money it's trash
I purchased this microwave on January 29th of this year. Today is July 17th and it started smoking and popping it started a fire. Kenmore is a name that I grew up with in my household so I thought this would be a good investment but I was very wrong. From the first time I've operated this it was smoking inside I thought maybe I kept the food in the microwave too long but it did it with every usage. I probably should have returned it but didn't. Today it caught on fire. I use my microwave every day to heat breakfast sausages that are precooked and I eat microwave popcorn at least twice a week. I am a heavy user of microwave even Reheating pizza Dinner you name it I put it in the microwave but I would expect it to last more than 5 months.

Dont buy!
The door was stuck shut when it arrived. The instruction manual was inside. I locked/unlocked it several times and the door finally came open. Then it made a strange scraping noise when you push the button to open the door. If you push so hard it scoots across the counter, it might open half the time. Never tried to cook in it!

Falling apart
I opened the box immediately after it was delivered and set it on my counter. The entire face plate was disconnected and after hitting 3 buttons (0,7,9) to turn off the child lock, the face plate totally disconnected at the top and on the right side. This exposed the inner wires and components of the microwave which is completely unsafe for use. Very cheaply built. Before I noticed the broken face plate, I washed the glass plate and roller in the sink. The roller came snapped in half. Really disappointed because I was so excited after seeing the good reviews.
