Battery Stopped Charging - 3 days ago, Verified purchaser
After 3 months of use, the battery stopped charging despite resting on clean charger and placed correctly. The toothbrush works for a minute or so and then the orange charge light comes on, beeps and toothbrush stops. Positive features were the seamless design of the brush which made it easy to keep clean and there were 2 power options.
Not great.

I’ve had this for a few months, and it’s not great. The previous model of this brand was larger and had much more power. I feel like this one barely cleans my teeth. I’ll be buying a different brand once I’ve got the money. Not impressed by this.

Just one setting and it’s a high setting if you have a sensitive mouth this toothbrush is not for you

Hello! Thank you for sharing your experience with the Philips Sonicare 4100 Plaque Control Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush, model HX3681/21. We understand that its single high-intensity setting might not be ideal for those with more sensitive mouths. In cases like this, we recommend trying a softer brush head or adjusting your brushing technique to reduce sensitivity. Alternatively, you might consider Philips Sonicare models that offer adjustable intensity settings for a more tailored brushing experience. If you have further questions or need assistance feel free to reach out to us. Your satisfaction is very important to us. We are available on social media, Facebook/Instagram (@Philips) or X (@PhilipsCare). I bought this same model toothbrush in 2020 and loved it. It was very powerful, stayed charged for ages, and left my teeth feeling very clean. What the heck is this new model?! It’s about 30% smaller in size, feels like a lightweight plastic piece of junk, and 1/10th the power and weight of the older version! It doesn’t even feel like it’s doing anything, you have to brush as aggressively as you would with a manual/non-electric toothbrush to get any cleaning done. It’s sooo soft and powerless - it actually feels like the battery is dying. At first I thought it was lol And what is the USB charger for? Who has a USB port in their bathroom? Cheapskates. If costs are going up, why not just charge more for the product? Instead of significantly reducing quality to this pathetic cheap piece of junk. Hey Target - it’s wrong of you to keep product reviews on the old version, misleading customers to purchase an entirely new design.
Died pretty quick

This is dead about a year and a half after purchase. The button covering wore off within 6 months. Poor quality. My husband has the older model that's been going for a decade. This is the updated one and it was not worth my money. Will not be buying from this brand again for myself.

I've used Philips Sonicare Items for many years. This latest toothbrush is light weight and easy to use. The only draw back is the USB charger. I don't know many people who have a USB port in their bathroom so you'll need an adaptor. Otherwise, it cleans well with just the right amount of pressure.

I love how clean this gets my teeth! I hate the vibration but it's worth it because of how they look after. It does what a normal toothbrush cannot! However, I do wish they made a larger toothbrush head, even there largest is too small in my opinion.

It is not as powerful as the more expensive models . It has 2 settings, one is soft and the next strength is a low medium

Love this toothbrush. One of the best purchases from Target. I have had it for a while now. Battery life is awesome. I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day. I charge once a week. My only reason of not giving 5 stars is how expensive the replacement heads are. Purchase it, you won’t regret it. I got replacement heads from Amazon - very cheap and they fit. I am a satisfied customer.

The battery lasts just a couple days, which is disappointing compared to my last Phillips toothbrush that went at least a week without requiring a charge. Do yourself a favor and buy a model with more battery capacity. Phillips is better than Oral-B in my experience, just not this one.
Weak and Wimpy.

The item started having issues in less than a year. I purchased the protection plan only to be told to reach out to the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacturer and was then asked to file a claim.

I would give this toothbrush zero stars if I could. I have been using Sonicare toothbrushes for 30 years- starting in 1995. My last Series E finally died. I’m not a fan of change. I have resisted buying a newer model. But I had to because my Sonicare toothbrush just stopped working This toothbrush is absolute garbage! My teeth do not feel smooth as I have come to expect. I don’t like how the head feels in my mouth. The USB cord is a poor excuse for a charging cord. I am highly disappointed in this inferior product. This is really sad because Sonicare used to have an awesome product and now it’s terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Died in 8 months. Bad design that traps toothpaste residue under toothbrush head that leads to mold if not cleaned regularly

I loved this toothbrush but it broke after 3 years. Not sure if that’s a normal amount of time to have it, but the button just completely stopped working. My boyfriend said he’s had his for like 6 years so a little bummed. Loved it before the button just fell off though lol

Bought this to replace an old model- price was great but I feel like it doesn’t really do anything. Very annoying to use and my teeth never feel clean. I will be upgrading as soon as I can.

I’ve used Sonicare for over 15 years. This latest model I’ve had to now purchase a 3rd time now due to issues with the functionality and vibration defects.

I'd even use this as my primary toothbrush. It's quieter than my standard toothbrush and does as good a job.
