A: Thank you for your question. The toaster oven will not be designed to open at the bottom. It is included with a slide out crumb tray that is removed from the bottom of the oven.

Toaster oven
I prefer this product, to me using conventional methods to prepare meals is better and it has a range of features that I appreciate for example my toaster can only prepare 2 slices of bread so it's inconvenient when preparing meals for multiple persons this oven offers more slices per meal prep. The dials arw easy to hold and information is bold and easy to find.

4 Slice Toaster Oven
I chose this oven because I had a previous Procotor Silex oven and it worked great for over 10 years. This newer model is smaller and the workmanship is cheaper. It does not have a crumb tray even though it says it on the box. The door is what they consider the crumb tray. There is a bar under the bottom element that is in the way of inserting any kind of tray to catch the crumbs. The previous model I had actually had a removable crumb tray. Now I have to put aluminum foil at the bottom to catch the crumbs for easy clean up. I just git this oven today and I am really disappointed. I will not buy Proctor Silex in the future. You need to go back to the old design and keep the old size as this is smaller.

The exact toaster oven that I needed!
Currently, I live with two precocious herd dogs . . . who only like toast, when I am eating with melted cheese on top. They don't want the whole toast. They just want me to break off a corner with melted cheese on it . . . from what I was going to eat. Seriously, this Procter-Silex toaster oven works flawlessly. I am very happy that I chose it over competitors' brands.

Small but powerful

My favorite thing to make in it is hashbrown patties. They come out evenly cooked with the right amount of crunch! It heats up quickly and fits nicely on my counter. Easy to use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this toaster oven for about a week now and have had the opportunity to use it a few times now. Toasted bagel warmed and toasted evenly with no burning. My teenager also used it to cook some easy to prepare items (like a frozen mini-pizza) and it cooked evenly and throughout as well. Very user friendly. Is smaller than other countertop toaster oven which is nice to conserve and optimize counter space. I recommend this item.

We use this a lot to reheat pizza. and it always comes out perfect. Not crunchy or rubbery. I love that you are able to set it for different temps and times and it is super easy to use.
