A: Thanks for asking! The formulas used in our Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner and our Disinfecting Bathroom Cleaner are the same. The only difference between the two is the delivery of the product as it leaves the bottle. The Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner releases a spray, while the Disinfecting Bathroom Cleaner releases a foam. Many consumers find that the foam is more effective at cleaning shower walls and other bathroom surfaces, however both cleaners can be used for disinfecting nonporous surfaces around the home. These products are compatible with the following surfaces – “compatible” meaning that they will not harm these surfaces. Nonetheless, it is in general a good idea to spot test compatibility in an inconspicuous place, specifically for sensitive or porous surfaces. These products are suitable for disinfecting hard, nonporous surfaces. They can also be used to clean and deodorize certain other surfaces - we hope this helps.

A: Our Disinfectant products have not been tested for use against mold. They are approved to kill germs and virus'. It is possible they can be effective against mold, we just have not done the testing on this.

Nasty worst scent EVER!
I usually purchase the dishwasher gel. It works great. So I purchased the disinfecting spray lemongrass citrus scent. It is works great, but just can not get over the smell. It does smell toxic. I even added lemon essential oil, still has a nasty chemical smell. I will likely use in my toilet and get another disinfecting spray. Come on guys do better!

Okay but you’ll probably find better
i wanted to like this seventh generation disinfectant spray more than i do. it’s decent and i appreciate that it’s supposed to be a safer and more eco friendly option, but it doesn’t quite impress me. it does clean and disinfect, but the scent is stronger than i expected and it hangs around for a while which isn’t great if you’re sensitive to smells. i also notice it can leave a bit of a film if you spray too much, so i usually have to wipe down surfaces after. that kind of defeats the purpose of a quick spray and go. the bottle itself works fine and the spray covers evenly, so no issues there. overall i don’t think it’s bad, it’s just average. i’ll probably finish the bottle but i’m not sure i’d buy it again since there are other options i like better

I really like this bathroom cleaner spray because its definitely safe to use around my family and my kids. There is not a lot of harsh chemicals included in the ingredients. Its a nice size bottle for the price as well. Im happy with it and will be buying again in the future.

Works but doesn’t smell great
I feel this product does well at cleaning. I do feel confident when used as directed that it is disinfecting the surfaces I use it on. The scent is a little strong and off-putting though. It does go away a little after it dries so not an absolute deterrent.

I like this product, but I like it best for bathroom or other living areas in the house. I don’t find it’s the best for cutting grease so it’s not my favorite for the kitchen, which is where I mostly use these types of sprays.

I’ve been using the Seventh Generation Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner for a few weeks now and I’m really satisfied with it. The packaging is simple and recyclable, which fits the brand’s eco-conscious image. The scent is a natural herbal smell—strong at first, but it fades quickly and doesn’t feel chemical. It cleans well, especially on kitchen counters and bathroom surfaces, leaving everything fresh and streak-free. Considering it’s plant-based and non-toxic, I think the value for money is solid. Most importantly, I appreciate its environmental impact—no harsh chemicals and safe around pets and kids. Definitely a cleaner I’ll keep using.
