Damaged my hair with severe breakage
I purchased two of the Conair AC Motor Dryers approximately 4 months ago. I loved that I could dry my hair quickly, however, over the past couple of months I was noticed what appeared to be hair breakage from what I assumed was hair coloring. On the other hand, I thought maybe it was new growth. Today I realized that the hair dryer has been causing my short cut off pieces of hair at the top of my head and I am devastated. I am uncertain how this could happen but it is totally unacceptable as it will take 6 months for my hair to grow back. I have owned numerous Conair products, so I never thought it was the culprit for damaging my hair to this degree. I have never written a review for a product but I could not let this happen to anyone else. Disappointment is an understatement.

This was a birthday present I got in high school and I've frequently used. That was 18 years ago. It still works. I'm surprised that it is still sold. It works as described. I actually get less frizz using my blow dryer than air drying. It probably takes 10 minutes to fully dry my hair.

I have long straightish hair so I don't need a complicated dryer. The simple settings are accurate (both heat and power). For me, trying the difuser made it just a little too heavy and awkward as the barrel of the dryer is a little long. I don't use a dryer often so I appreciate that this color is easy to spot when I store it in the cabinet under the sink. What I appreciate most is that it is reasonably priced.

Works well
I've had this for about a month. It works well and dries my hair quickly. I'd like to see 3 speed settings instead of just a low and high. It is also a bit heavier. My husband commented how loud this unit is and it is, especially at 6:30 a.m. if he's sleeping on his day off and I'm working. I do use the diffuser and I like that it stays on and does not fall off like my old hair drier. Over all, this seems to be a decent unit with a fair price. We shall see how long it lasts.

I recently received this hair dryer for Christmas. I used it 3 times. The 3rd time it fused up. Stopped working and coils turned almost red. I'm lucky I noticed before my hair caught fire. I will be returning it tomorrow.

Not great
Worked well until it didn't. I don't blow dry my hair very frequently, and this hair dryer didn't last past a year and a half. I still have a hair dryer from 30 years ago that still functions,but it never had enough power. I feel like there is so much garbage being made. Nothing is quality.
