  • A: Before use, carry out a test on a small part of the area to be waxed. If there is no adverse reaction, continue using the product. To use, pull the strip apart slowly to keep the wax even on both sides. Apply in the direction of hair growth, pull skin taut, and quickly pull strip off in the opposite direction to remove hair. After waxing, use post-wax cloth to clean skin and roll the Calming Serum over sensitive areas. The stainless steel tip eliminates the need for you to touch the skin directly. Don’t worry, each kit comes with easy to follow instructions (with pictures!) to make the process easier and a little less painful.

    Old kit was so effective, but these barely work

    This kit, since it changed, doesn’t work well anymore. The original face kit was very good, but I’ve bought this in its place twice since the other is no longer available. Not only are the shapes weird, they also don’t work. The wax sticks together on the strip, and then it sticks to your skin - leaving both hair and residue. I wish the old kit (likely formula too) would come back!

    Disappointing. The old face only lit was perfect. This kit doesn’t have quite the right size strips for the face and the strips didn’t separate well at all. The “calming” serum has my face red and splotchy. Thankfully, I did see Flamingo has the old kit available on their website, so I’ll be purchasing from there in the future.

    What happened to this product?

    The quality of the kit has really gone down. At one time I could depend on facial strips to work really well at hair removal. The last box did not work at all. When seperating the strips,one portion was left with nothing at all with which to remove hair. I really might as well use Scoth tape, it probably works as well.

    A recent change (for the worse)

    I have bought these for years to wax my upper lip. Was confused when I opened the box and noticed a variety of sizes, unlike the old boxes. the wax is harder and if it's cold in your house, you will barely be able to get the strips apart, and some wax will pull away from one strip and stay with its partner. please bring the old strip and sizes back. I won't be buying these any more until they revert to the old style.

    Skin ripped off

    I dont know if this was a user error or this kit isn’t good I didn’t look at the reviews before I purchased this item but from what I’m seeing I don’t think I’m the only one who literally ripped their first layer of skin off it was only by the sides of my eyes everywhere else was fine.

    Please go back to old style!

    So I used to love the original version of these. I have been buying them for years to wax my lip. The new sizes make it way more complicated and the applicator for the after aloe is weird. I definitely preferred the older product. I only used this one box and it is still removing hair like before, but it’s hard to cover the entire area with the wax sizes they provide now. Pro tip: skip the cloths and use a little oil to remove wax residue.

    Sensative skin/more upper lip

    I have really sensitive skin and this worked great. I only wish they had more upper lip strips because I don’t need the other and it feels like a lot of money for just needed the upper lip strips. I’ll probably have to cut up the others and make them work.

    they changed the formula

    Been buying this kit for a couple of years bought a new one recently the wax is thicker and different it's now even harder to get off leaves residue and hurts more to use.... I am looking for another option! They never include enough remover cloths for the amount of wax strips too.... not good for sensitive skin/ areas

    what happened to the face only kit?

    messe up

    these wax strips messed me up. they tore my skin off without removing the hair. I've used plenty of wax strips during my life and I've never had this level of damage to my skin. I look like I fell and skinned my chin.
