We bought this for our daughter when she was about 5 months old and she loves to flip through the pages. She's 11 months old now and is still too young to fully understand the toy but still loves flipping through the pages and pressing the buttons. We dont regret this purchase at all. i'd say its a great toy to grow with, easy for babies to play with from a super young age and continue to play with as they grow.

I can see how this could be serious sensory overload for some. It was for the child it was intended for. I love Vtech and have never had an issue like this one before. I've never been one to be bothered by noise making toys as they usually are the most entertaining to kids. The volume is INSANE even on the lower setting. I could hear it going off through the box when it was delivered as if it was up to my ear. Lots of flashing lights and sparatic music simultaneously. This could all be very good for some, not others so be aware of the recipient!

Overstimulating and not beneficial
My daughter was gifted this for Xmas and it is noisy and not beneficial in any way. She just presses the buttons over and over to hear the different sounds and songs. This might be okay for any older kid, but it’s much too much for a child under 3.

Inoperable due to Target mishandling
We opted for drive up as we were short on time and needed a quick gift. When we arrived there were several people waiting and 1 employee with a cart full of goods. He went back after delivering what he had...15-20 minute wait and he came back with another full cart. NOTHING WAS BAGGED OR COVERED and it was pouring rain. By the time we got product it was SOAKING wet...this is a battery operated computer toy. Checked it and was not working correctly. Took it to customer service who stated there were no more in store and clearly did not really care what was happening in the drive up. We got a refund and left. Complete fail and waste of our time on all levels. Cant possibly rate this item or give any info as it was destroyed by retailer before we even received it.
