A: The colander is dishwasher safe for easy clean-up, so to that extent the handles are heat safe. However, this is not intended for use in an oven or on the stovetop for preparing foods.

A: Hello, The 1/8 in, is the size of the holes on the Mesh Colander, anything smaller than that may pass through.

Should not be this difficult
Same as someone else said, a huge bit of glue was stuck to the bottom. Took a long time to get it off. Didn’t want to have to drive all the way back to return it. Extremely frustrating.

inappropriate packaging
Product packaging was paper stuck with a glob of glue at the bottom of the collander that was extremely difficult to get out and completely inappropriate for a colander that may be used with hot foods
