    Awful scent

    It smells like green tea and not in a good way. It’s brand new so shouldn’t be expired and doesn’t have an expiration date on the bottle nor could I look one up with the Lot number on the bottle.

    Excellent alternative to harsh retinols

    I've been using this product for years. It's the only retinol my skin will tolerate. Doesn't make me breakout, it's not overly drying, and it diminishes fine lines. I buy this and the Smoother Glycolic Acid body wash multiple times a year.

    Be careful

    I have used many different types of retinols and retinol alternatives. My skin is not sensitive by any means so I was surprised when after my first use I had to take Benadryl to combat the allergic reaction I had on my face to it.

    Smells weird

    Giving it 2 stars because I did not use it; therefore, I do not think it’s fair to give no stars because maybe it works?? But docked off 3 stars because the smell alone made me return it. I put a tiny amount on my hand to sample it. Goes on clear and dries. Does not feel sticky. But it does smell weird!! Like a basement party full of cigarettes (V specific haha)

    Light retinol

    It’s a very light retinol. This would work fantastic for perfect skin and just want some maintenance retinol part of your nightly routine. If you have textured skin, dark spots, scarring or very uneven skin tone… this will not offer the results you might think you will get. Overall it starts giving a nice glow (skin renewal) within a couple of days. Lastly, there’s not that much product for $20. If you think about it, you end up paying just as much for a more potent retinol overtime (if you need one)

    Beginner friendly & effective

    Great for textured skin! First time using this line & exploring retinol. I’m 32 and struggle with textured skin. I tried retinaldahyde first but it was too strong. I have sensitive skin & have used nearly nightly for 3 weeks with fantastic results clearing acne, reducing pores/texture, & leaving my skin naturally glowy. I use the azelic (sp?) acid in the morning & their retinol complex serum at night after cleansing. Then I apply naturiams barrier bounce to seal.

    It has only given me major cystic acne. I know there is a “purging” period, but I don’t think purging involves cystic, painful acne. Avoid if you have acne prone skin.
