Makes my hair fall out
BEHENTRIMONIUM, makes you hair soft and from what I read online gives the slip feel when wet. UFORTUNATELY, It makes my hair fall out more. Not for me, mama with thinning hair in a ultra dry climate. 3 stars for how it makes my hair feel after styling, but 1 star for hair loss

Great Fragrance Free But Could Be Better
Love the fact this is fragrance feee and in the form of a shampoo bar. The only thing I don’t like is my hair doesn’t feel clean after one use and even going back it makes it feel oily? I’ll be playing around with it on another wash day but otherwise it’s a great product.

The best!
So happy to have found an effective, fragrance-free, plastic-free shampoo bar! Love this (and the conditioner). Takes a bit of getting used to, but I don’t want to ever go back to conventional shampoo and conditioner now, after about a year of using this. My hair is so much healthier and my allergies are so thankful for finding something that is truly fragrance-free!!!! Please never discontinue this… it’s my favorite!

Unscented Hi Bars are the way to go
I’ve tried three of the hi bar shampoos and this is the best one. It lathers really well, and lasts me over 4 months of daily washes. I’ve had eczema or psoriasis issues for most of my life, and while this hasn’t cured it, it has calmed my scalp more than anything else I’ve tried. The unscented conditioner is even better—my hair loves it. And zero plastic! I just wish the unscented ones were available in stores.

Hard to lather, feels like bar soap
I've been using solid shampoos for 2 years now, and I've only ever used the ones that are disc-shaped. Maybe that's why they lathered so well across the scalp, but I find that this bar does not. I really wanted to love it! But I tried it today and it felt like I was rubbing a rock against my hair, and I could tell my hair was getting tangled and matted. I just gave up and used the remnants of my usual solid shampoo. Willing to try the HiBar again, but it didn't leave a good first impression.

Pleasantly surprised by this shampoo (and the conditioner)! It’s almost impossible to find a fragrance free/cruelty free shampoo that’s not baby shampoo (and leaves adults hair dry/tangly). This was my first experience with bar shampoo and I’m a huge fan! My thick/wavy hair is already back to shiny/soft after less than a week using it. I’m allergic to fragrance and no reaction! Highly recommend!

Didn't work for me
This shampoo might work well for someone who's hair isn't like mine. I have very dry, fine, straight, long hair and it didn't moisturize my hair at all. It worked more like a clarifying shampoo. After applying this shampoo it took a while to work up a lather. The lather felt like bar hand soap lather. After rinsing my hair felt squeaky clean. In the case of my hair, "squeaky clean" means it was stripped of all moisture. I used the companion conditioner and after a few minutes in a towel, my hair was full of tangles, especially the ends. Initially after drying my hair was shiny and soft, but had quite a bit of static. The next day I got caught in a downpour and my hair got very hard and impossible to comb through. On the plus side, this shampoo is definitely fragrance free and zero waste which I've been looking for. I really wanted to love it but it's a no-go for me and my search continues.

I have thick hair that is slightly wavy. I enjoyed this shampoo compared to other shampoo bars. It did not leave my hair dry or sticky like other bars. My only issue was the shape of the bar- it’s harder to hold onto and slipped through my fingers a few times. Other than that, it’s a great shampoo bar!

No more waste
I love this bar shampoo. I would use soo much liquid shampoo that with the HiBAR shampoo I dont have that issue. Less waste equals more savings :)
