Astepro Allergy Azelastine Hydrochloride Steroid Free Antihistamine Nasal Spray

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This really helped me with my seasonal allergies. And helped clear my nose of the debris from just walking outside. I keep it in my purse for those windy days when it can get worse. Good option for an over the counter nasal spray.

I want to clarify up front, that I have a hang-up about nasal sprays. They don’t tend to work for me for one, and two, not keen about destroying further my already bad sinuses ( had surgery for them and all). That being said, I did try this product in the past, and surprisingly it did work for me. However, I absolutely hated the fact that no matter what I tried, bending over, etc., it always shot down the back of my throat. Let me tell you, it does NOT taste good at all, and definitely was not trying to add it to my diet. Yuck. That kept me from using it altogether. My mother also got one to try, and she had the same issue with it shooting down her throat, but did like that it worked aside from that, so she was willing to keep using it, despite that flaw. The price is okay as far as nasal sprays go. I could not tell you from my experience if it is habit forming or rather makes your sinuses dependent upon it or not, since I gave up using it after a few tries. It does not seem to be an issue for my mother, however, she only uses it when she absolutely needs to.

The only thing that I don't like is that I am able to feel the liquid going down my throat. After a few minutes my nose starts to clear up and I then can finally breathe through my nose. I do recommend this nasal spray to help with your stuffy nose and seasonal allergies.

It delivers meaningful relief from allergy symptoms, particularly congestion, sneezing, and nasal drip. However, the tradeoffs, especially the bitter taste, possible irritation, and variability in how different bodies respond, mean it’s not perfect for everyone. I didn’t experience any worsening conditions. Thank goodness! If I had to rate it, I’d give it a 4/5, for mild-to-moderate allergy sufferers willing to experiment with technique and dose. I would purchase this time. Doesn’t hurt for other consumers to try it out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The medicine itself works fairly well, but the administration of the spay is horrible. A lot comes out in each dose and it goes straight down the throat. It’s terribly bitter. The mist needs to be finer! I’ll stick with other brands.

It is for nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose. This allergy medicine is almost as good as the prescription brand.

I liked that since it's non-steroidal, it doesn't take several days to take effect. The only downside is the awful aftertaste that it leaves on the back of your throat that doesn't go away for over an hour it seems.

This month has been particularly brutal so it's had its work cut out for it. You have to follow the directions carefully otherwise you'll get a mouthful of yuck and not a real benefit. After a month and a half on this now, I can say that this works really well. And I see why my doc wanted me to try this. I can breathe! Will I go back to my other brand? I don't think so!

It has a mild scent which isn’t overbearing and dissipates quickly. Definitely reduces or gets rid of allergies when you’re needing relief.

No drowsiness and it provides fast relief for my seasonal allergies, and environment allergies (especially dust). One of the key things while using it, is to position the applicator in a straight angle, so the spray dose reaches the right places for better absorption.
