Q: What’s the difference between Asian and standard? How do I know which knives are which?

  • A: Asian knives have a steeper bevel to the edge than western knives. The Asian side of the sharpener is a 10 degree angle and the other sharpener is a 15 degree angle.

A Must have in every Kitchen

I am left handed, it's cool it can be used by eighter a left or right handed person. Simple and effective. Just the right angle for most knives. Light weight. Stable and very easy to hold. Used this to sharpen my old knives and keep a sharp edge on my Zwilling Pro set.

Great sharpener

Used this to sharpen my old dull knives and it did a fantastic job of being able to make these old knives like new again. It was very simple to do and doesn't take a whole lot of time but makes a great difference.

Get yourself one!

O we many, many years, and probably 7-8 knife sharpeners, this is by far the best. It is easy to use, with a nice hand grip and non-skid surface on the bottom to adhere firmly to the counter top or table. I use it to sharpen my standard kitchen knives, some of which had not been adequately sharpened in years. The edges seem to knoll well, and stay sharp through many uses. I have not used the Asian spice yet as I do not have that style of knife. A really excellent feature is the ability to use the sharpened by either right or left handed person. It was a great purchase!

I bought this for my wife. Like weight, grips and balance. It is easy for her use. The sharpener works very well for a couple of other knives.

Easy to use

I used zwilling sharpener with all my knives and my kitchen scissors and it worked perfectly, it was easy to use and I think that any one can use it. I recommend this product for anyone who wants to have their knifes working like new.

Kitchen knife sharpener

I sharpened my knives but some seemed sharper than others.Some of them don't feel as sharp as I expected. The Handle is easy and comfortable for use of product. The Sharpener is functional for knives of different sizes, the knife guide is precise for all knife styles. With the handle firm on counter top the sharpener is stable for all my knive sharpening needs.
