    Best Deep Conditoner for Hydration

    I love using this deep conditioner before applying heat on my hair. The smell is not strong at all. It leaves the typical shea butter scent. This has helped restore my hair after dealing with heat damage. It was easy to use and detangle while in the shower. This product is thick, so it will sit on your hair and penetrate the hair.

    Leaves Hair Soft, but....

    4 stars for it making my hair look and feel great, 1 star for the smell. I have thick, long, dry hair that gets heat styled often and this leaves my hair soft, shiny and feeling like it does after a salon visit. It does not leave my hair flat, heavy or greasy (I only apply it my mids and ends). However, there is sea kelp in this and it does have a faint fishy smell! It is faint, but noticeable when applying it. It's not overpowering, but it's not appealing either. My hair has never smelled like it after rinsing it out. I never noticed it later and even asked friends if my hair smelled and all of them said no. I probably wouldn't use if it my hair didn't look and feel so good after using it. I will probably buy more when I run out. I'm just hoping the smell means there is a good amount of minimally processed, good-for-hair ingredients in it For reference I have thick, longer hair (past shoulders) that is slightly coarse and dry and I use this product once a week.

    SUFFERING with itchy, red welts and hives for FOUR days and counting. DO NOT BUY!!!

    It’s been 4 DAYS and my skin is still breaking out in INTENSELY itchy hives, welts - first it made my neck all splotchy and behind my ears and it turned into a full blown all over allergy type attack. Ive had to take Benadryl at night and just took an Allegra hives. I DO NOT have any allergies- not even seasonal. Yet this thing is causing my skin to itch, burn, welts and I’m suffering day and night. All before Christmas. I have used it before a few times but this last time is downright criminal the way it has affected my body. I will tell everyone I know and blast this everywhere - this company is not good!!!

    BRING BACK OLD FORMULA (The 1w/ new label sucks!)

    I’m writing this review to stress how disappointed I am w/ the new formula for Raw Shea Butter Deep Moisturizing Hair Masque. I ask you to please bring back the old formula. The new formula is watery and just not as good. I’m talking about the product w/ the new label. It doesn’t smell, feel or work the same. I’m very disappointed and now forced to seek out another DC to replace it. Being the new formula SUCKS!!!

    Different than before

    I’ve always loved this conditioner but my recent purchase is different from the others. It’s a different consistency, and unfortunately not as thick or moisturizing as it used to be. Bring back the old formula!

    Heavy and feels like its stripping my hair

    It feels heavy on my hair and I have curly type 4 too. I used it as a deep leave in mask after washing my hair and it was hard to detangle my hair and felt like it was drying it out instead of becoming smooth and conditioning. I don’t know if they changed the formula back as other reviewers said it changed and they noticed a difference but I won’t be buying this again. This isn’t a sponsored or promoted or influencer free gimmick like other paid reviews which is super annoying at this point because I bought this myself.

    A NO for tangly prone long hair

    Love SheaMoisture and use some of their products lifelong - but this isn’t good for fine, long, tangly prone hair. Truly made my hair so heavy and tangly, so much time added post shower. So glad I used it all finally and will not ever repurchase. Seems thick and nice for someone with a different hair type!

    I am not in love...

    I generally use a hair mask/cholesterol on a regular basis. I thought I would try a new product, so I purchased the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Hair Mask. I am not in love with this product. Strengths: 1 Price is fair (about $13.00) as you do not need to use much with each application. 2 Has a nice creamy texture. 3 Does soften hair. (I do not have curly or kinky hair.) Drawbacks: 1 While it did soften my hair, it actually made it very limp by the end of the day. (Much more so than other masks I have used.) BTW, I wash my hair everyday. 2 I have noted since using it for a short while, my bathtub feels greasy and slippery. Not what I want! Makes it more likely that one might slip. 3 While I am not a chemist, it seems to have a lot of non-natural ingredients. Overall: This product does not work well for me, as I do have fairly fine hair. My largest concern was the how it made my hair so limp. However, it might work more effectively for someone with thicker and more luxurious hair.

    i hated it.

    this hair thing made my hair fluffy and wavy to straight and flat now my hair had been like this for 4 days now i’ve washed it out and it’s still flat do not recommend this product at all.
