A: I'm not sure b/c I just use the bar soap on my hands. Most soaps and hand washes itch or break my skin out. When I have an eczema outbreak, it's generally on my hands. The soap works very well on my hands; it calms my skin down and so far, it clears it right away. I have some of their body wash that I haven't tried yet. I don't see anything on the soap package or body wash regarding pores. The bar soap wrapper states "for acne prone skin and body bar". The body wash mentions helping psoriasis, and eczema. Neither mention pores, but heck, it can't hurt to try it and let us know.

Not for sensitive skin
This soap is good, but it's too harsh for me. I'm sure it will work great for others with less sensitive skin. But for me it really dries out my skin making it susceptible to infection and rashes. So I stopped using it. I do use it for my underarms and only that. It's great at getting rid of odor causing bacteria and I honestly don't even need to use deodorant if i'm not too active throughout the day. So it's not for everyone. Definitely great for the underarms.

Fades dark spots
I love how this soap fades dark spots. It can be drying so you must use a lightweight moisturizer with it. If you have a pimple, it dries it down and it’s gone in a few days. Overall it’s a great soap!

I was a little hesitant to try the SheaMoisture African Black Soap Face and Body Bar since exfoliating or clarifying soaps can easily trigger a massive eczema flare-up for me. However, I used it and it didn't irritate my skin at all! It’s perfect for someone who doesn’t deal with severe acne but just gets the occasional breakout. Instead of leaving my skin feeling stripped or tight, it managed to gently clear up those minor, sporadic blemishes while remaining incredibly soothing on my patches of dry, sensitive skin. Absolutely love this!

This soap is great to clear skin prone to break outs and problem areas. Does not leave your skin feeling dry and has low to no acne. It does leave you with a fresh clean feeling. I use it on my face , arms, chest and back.

Great daily beauty bar soap for Face and Body Acne
Who knew that getting acne in your forties was a thing? NOT Me! I purchased a bar of Shea Moisture African Black Soap Acne Prone Face and Body Bar while at the DG one day while shopping for those last minute bath and body supplies I needed for the house. BC now I am apparently dealing with the hormones of a teenage boy again, I grabbed it thinking “Hey, I’ll give it a shot”. Let me tell you, after about one week of using this beauty bar for my face I was impressed. my husband started using it as well (can we say back acne) and he was impressed too. We will definitely keep this on hand !

I don’t have an image of this because I have used it in the past and haven’t replenished but I loved this soap. I could use it for my face and body, it was mild enough for my skin and didn’t dry my skin out. I’ll be purchasing again.

If I could give this review 6 stars I would… I have been using this soap bar for face wash since 2015 and it has never failed. I used to have really bad acne in my T-Zone and this soap was the only thing that cleared it up! It always leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean and I don’t plan on switching my face wash any time soon!

Shea Moisture is one of my favorite and trusted brands for African black soap. I have been using this bar soap since 2016 and it hasn't let me down. The fragrance is soft and beautiful, the soap isn't harsh on my dry sensitive skin. My skin is much clearer and more even toned and so blotchy and red. This baby gets right into your pores and sucks everything out with a nice deep clean. I use this soap at the end of the day to get all my makeup and skin care products off my face.

This is such a great product! I love that’s it’s made with natural ingredients and has a light, pleasant aroma. It lathers beautifully and rinses off clean without leaving any residue. The packaging is simple yet eco friendly. After using it my skin feels fresh, squeaky clean and lightly vented with a soft toasted almond like fragrance.

The shear moisture Black soap is great. It is gentle on your skin and does not leave residue. It leaves my skin soft and clean. It keeps my skin glowing and clear . It helps my some occasional body acne on my back. I love that it’s made with natural ingredients.
