    Dried out hair

    I do like the way my scalp feels after using but the minute I start to shampoo my hair turns into a dry tangled mess. This has never happened with any other shampoo I have used before.

    New formula is very bad

    Reportedly H&S changed its formula in February 2026. For me, the change was catastrophic. The new formula has inconsistent results, at best leaving hair feeling a little heavy, at worst feeling significantly dirtier than before I washed it. I've tried multiple washes from two different bottles. There is no consistency, which makes me think the new formula is separating in the bottle. Whatever the case, it does not leave hair looking particularly clean, and definitely does not feel clean. I had used H&S for most of my life, so I'm not happy to be writing this, and am struggling to find a suitable replacement. The job of shampoo is to leave hair feeling clean. The new H&S doesn't do that. I won't be using it any longer.

Assuming you are using the recommended amount of product and rinse well, this version may be more moisture than is needed for the texture or condition of your hair. Also, if you normally use both a shampoo and conditioner, you could try using just the shampoo and only use conditioner every other or every third washing.     classic clean feeling

    The clean and classic feeling I love from Head & Shoulders! I have been using this brand of shampoo pretty much ever since I have been a teenager. It cleans my hair very well and always leaves me feeling nice and refreshed up top. This is one of their smaller bottles, but it'll still last long as you don't need a lot to get a good clean, especially if you keep your hair short like I do. Will always recommend this brand and this product to anyone!

    Not as good as it used to be.

    This used to be thicker and more concentrated. I like that it has sulfate only cleansers because coco betaines don't cleanse as well and make my hair harder to manage. If you want to actually help the environment then making products more concentrated will save on plastic waste because you use less. Are profits really that important that you'll water down products while raising the price? Have some respect for the people who buy your products and treat them fairly.
