I loved this dryer (for about two years) until one day it just stopped working-highly disappointed - it should last longer for the price.

Great when it worked. Had it for two years and it bit the dust and won’t turn on any longer. For the price, I expected SO much more. I would not recommend this product.

I love Kristin Ess products... Made it just in time for a trip. Only blows cool air, something is wrong with the heating element. Box was thrown away before trip so I can't return it.

This stopped after a year of having it…… this is the most I’ve ever spent on a hair dryer and it’s lasted a whisper of the time guys….

Omg i love this blowdryer my husband bought me from his work, it works so well its sturdy noise is low enough my husband didnt know i used it the first night he brought it home lol, the heat setting ate great it also has an ion button for sleek hair dry, the heat is amazing it dries my hair 10 minutes lesss than the time i took before, i used to dry it in 15+, this took me 5-8 , i love it

I got this brand blow dryer, brand new, and its defective. Doesnt blow out any warm or hot air whatsoever.

Got this 3 years ago but really only used it maybe 30 times. It sparked and made a little fireball and died. Not great for so few uses.

Like many others, the blow dryer worked for about a year and a half before a loud pop and now it no longer turns on for more than a second before having to reset the power. Seems to be an issue with the blow dryer model since we have another one that's worked for 10 years.

So I really enjoyed this blow dryer for the 2 years I had it. I came on here after shopping around at ulta and Amazon to see how this would compare to babyliss pro titanium. I felt the need to also write a review because I like many others just had their blow dryer make a loud pop, flash of electricity, and smell of burning wires in their face. I was blow drying my 1 year olds hair. Disappointed, I kept it clean religiously.

I'm something of a Kristen Ess brand loyalist-- I have her brushes, her hair products, and assorted accessories. I trust this woman with my hair. This was the first hair dryer I ever "splurged" on (I had previously been using a $30 Revlon). I LOVED it. It was relatively quiet, powerful, and did a fantastic job drying my hair. That being said, about 2 years after I purchased it, it died. And it went out with a bang, LITERALLY. I was in the middle of drying my hair, I heard a pop, saw a spark, and smelled smoke. She was dead and gone. Still, I remained loyal. I immediately purchased the same dryer again. I figured, hey, it got me through two years of nearly DAILY use. Let's try again. The new one arrives on October 21, 2022. Again, I dry like I usually do (with some varied air-drying weeks in-between). Then yesterday, December 28th, 2023, a little over a year after purchase, she dies once more. This time with less OOMF (the motor just simply turned off. In fact, I assumed there was something wrong with the outlet. There wasn't). I think it's time to face the facts: This hair dryer is good, but for a cool hundo it could be so much better. If you can get this one on major sale (I'm talking 50% off or better), I'd say it's definitely worth it if you're looking to dip your toes into a nicer-end hair-drying experience (especially if you don't have an Ulta/Sephora/Sally's in your area). Otherwise, I think there are plenty of hair dryers on the market for the same price (or less!) that work just as well and, honestly, probably better (but with less chance of lighting your head on fire).

I purchased this dryer and had to return because it popped out a fire ball after have for only a month. Thinking it was just 1 bad apple and liking the design of this dryer I purchased another one. Big mistake! Less than a month of having the second dryer it made pop sound and kaput the dryer was done.

Quickest hair dryer ever!

I loved it but I had it just a few months when the heating element went out and now it only blows cold air.

It never heated up, the dryer didn’t look like it had been returned when I opened it. When I went to use it, only cool air came out. I even left it on for about 10 min to heat up and it never did.

Heating element stopped working after a couple months. Only used couple times a week.

This is a fantastic dryer at a great price point! I just recently tried out 3 high priced dryers, all $200 - 300. Not 1 came with a diffuser attachment - something I wanted to use with my Velcro rollers. 2 of the 3 had an 1875 watt motor, 9' cord, 3 heat settings & 2 airflow settings, a cool shot button. All were about 1-1.5lbs. This Kristin Ess dryer has ALL that + the concentrator nozzle & diffuser included. What I also love about this dryer is actually gets hot enough to say it has a "high heat" setting. The tools are fantastic, the diffuser is comparable in size to the 1 I had to purchase seperately for 1 of the high priced dryers. I don't find this any louder than a typical dryer, I'd say it's just over 1lb in weight; for me, quite comfy. I have naturally fine, long straight hair & plenty of it; frizz isn't a big deal for me but the Kristin Ess dryer has an "I On, I Off" button - it can be turned on to smooth hair or turned off to add more volume & texture. I like that feature! It also has a little rubber circle/hanging hook (you can see it in the photo on the Target website) & I love that. So convenient because I hang my dryer behind my bathroom door. FYI, when I first plugged in this dryer it immediately blew cold air - the cold shot button was depressed & there's not a light to indicate that feature like the "I On, I Off". My package arrived super fast, in perfect condition. The cord is perfect. Everything about it feels high quality. I can remove the back to rinse off any dust as it accumulates. My hair looks amazing, but that's because it's healthy & I use great products & tools, Kristin Ess included. :) SO HAPPY I chose this dryer, highly recommend!

LOVE this thing. Got it 2 yrs ago and it's still going (hope this doesn't jinx it). I use it once a week or so. It does wonders for my frizz and is quick drying if need be.
