I had wanted a floor lamp with the stained glass, but this one is a disappointment. The stand and base are not black, they are a weird shade of plum, really. I already had a lamp with a black base and stand, and didn't care if the tops were different. But this lamp is very different. There's a purple cast to the stand and base. And rather than being smooth, it has a ridged effect, so where the pieces of the stand are screwed together, it is hard to get the ridges or waves to line up. The color of the stand and base don't really go with anything in my house. I'm not returning it because I had to tear into the styrofoam it was in to get it out of the carton, and I will probably take it to goodwill or something. The stand and base are sturdy, just a weird color, and not black.

Arrived promptly and it looks fantastic in the master bedroom. It floods the room brightly but without overdoing it. The room is bright but cozy still. I used a 13-watt CFL lightbulb.

This lamp looked great. Only problem was putting it together. The last post that connects to the base was stripped. Waited all this time to receive a broken lamp. Glad I was able to return to the local Target store for a full refund. I guess in the future, I will see where it is manufactured and base my order on that. This lamp is made in China.

This is a nice looking addition to a family room with relaxed surroundings. The base is a nice, rich touch. It didn't make a difference to me, but the description calls this lamp "white" and it's definitely more yellow. And, it's an adequate source for corner lighting but don't rely on it to light up an entire room. I wish it used a 3-way bulb but it does not. Needless to say, it looks enough like a tiffany lamp at a fraction of the price. I'll buy another if they go on sale again!
