Too Powerful

At the #1 setting (out of 5) batter sprayed all over my kitchen. After 3 uses, the switch got stuck hand the mixer will now not turn off unless I unplug it.

Good Mixer

I like the retractable electrical cord. The speed appears to be pretty good so far, but the lowest speed seems a bit fast because it tends to splash. So use a larger bowl to help with splashing. I can’t say yet how durable this mixer is because I haven't made a large batch of cookies yet. I rated 4 stars because the highest speed didn't seem much faster than the lowest speed.

Hand Mixer

The fact the cord is retractable, the mixer can sit beside the bowl being used, the ease of operating and the storage for the accessories is available makes it an ideal item for me. I have had another brand for over 50 years; my daughter-in-law still has hers. It was time for me to make a change because of the cord and the ease of operation. I have to get used to the weight of the hand mixer as I was accustomed to a much smaller type but I am very happy with the Kenmore and eager to try the attachments for the smoothies and bread.
