  • A: The dock dust bin holds up to 30 days of dust. When the full indicator light turns on, remove the bagless bin by lifting it by the handle. To dispose of the contents, hold it over the trash and press the side release button to let the debris fall out.

  • A: Hello there, Thank you for your question! Both the pre-motor and post-motor filters will eventually need to be replaced. The pre-motor filter can be washed and air-dried for up to 48 hours, and only needs replacing when it shows visible wear. The post-motor filter should be replaced once a year. For best performance, tap off loose dirt between washes.

  • A: The battery is removable, but it can only be charged in the vacuum. To charge the battery, place your vacuum on the Auto-Empty Dock. A full charge takes approximately 5 hours. Leaving the unit plugged in will not damage battery life.

    Shark cordless clean and empty stick

    Battery life after a year is awful. Bought a back up battery and it is equally bad. I can only get a room or two done before it’s dead. Also the bottom canister is now open and needs manually shut every time you remove it from the charger. It doesn’t have great suction and over all a huge waste of money.

    Recommend for pet owners and people who shed hair

    I had a generic cordless vacuum that had been used for quite a while (5+ years) and it stopped working. My particular vacuuming needs. I have a dog and my hair sheds so was looking for something that would be powerful enough to get everything. I like vacuuming in general but I hate emptying the container mid vacuum to keep going. It's dusty and messy and feels really gross when my hand gets caught in the crossfire. I started wearing disposable gloves when vacuuming because of it. All that friction in the process makes vacuuming less enjoyable. How this one measures up. I love it! It brings the joy back into vacuuming for me. lol. The areas that need vacuuming in my home are the living room, hallway, office, and bedroom. This can do the apartment in one go if you're doing a quick vacuum. When I first used it, the apartment was way overdue for a vacuum so I did max and multiple passes. That got me through like two spaces each before having to take a break and recharge. It also picks up SO MUCH DUST and tiny pet hairs. The self emptying into a separate container is also one of my favorite features. No more fussing with the vacuum and breathing it in and I can keep vacuuming with ease. photos are from vacuuming the office on max - one pass.

    Horrific dont do it

    If I can give this zero stars I would. The vacuum doesn’t suction, the dirt compartment stays open and will not close even after trying to jam it shut and this is the SECOND one I got (with warranty) to confirm the first one just wasn’t defective. If you care about your time and sanity DO NOT get this. You spend time vacuuming just to find crumbs everywhere again because of the dirt compartment always coming open

    Disappointed

    Wish I didn’t buy it

    This vacuum is incredibly frustrating. I don’t understand how it has good reviews. That tube is constantly clogged and when I go to empty it half the time it doesn’t suction hard enough and I’m stuck with dirt dangling from the canister. The canister also doesn’t shut if you have sucked up anything metal such as a staple.

    Delivery was less -1 stars.

    First I went to the store to purchase this because .com said it was in stock, nope. I ordered it online, received notification it was damaged during shipment, delivery was delayed a day. Placed a nother order for same-day delivery- received a text from the Shipt driver- their counts are off and they don’t have it in stock so it was cancelled. .com gets delivered and this is what I get….. placed another online order and have to now wait 3-4 days and hope this one isn’t damaged. Can’t rate the vacuums bc I can’t use it.

    Poor Suction & 15 min. Battery Life

    Poor suction & Battery Life. I have a split level home and this only last through 3 rooms. It also cannot suck spider webs from corners, or pick up items from crevices. I like the auto empty feature and it works as the back up vacuum, but for the price back up isn’t worth it. I use this for a quick clean up. Definitely doesn’t work as a way to keep carpets clean, and pull dirt from them. Very disappointing. I have many other Shark/Ninja products. But this one made me switch to Dyson for my choice in vacuums.

    Not enough battery for 1 floor, can't do dog hair

    I've had this for 6 months now, and I'm not a fan. Eco mode is useless, normal mode fails to detect my carpet and turn on the roller, so it's turbo all the time. That gives you less than 10 minutes, which isn't enough to clean one floor (~650 sq ft) without recharging. We have a dog, and it is incapable of sucking up dog hair. It mostly pushes it around into clumps. If you attack the clumps from several angles, you may be able to get some of them, some of the time. I prefer vacuums that just, yknow, suck things up the first go round. The roller also becomes very difficult to push around, seemingly at random. Constantly lifting and putting the vac back down to try and temporarily resolve this. Fine, some nice things: the docking is great, the weight is good, and it seems well built. It just sucks at sucking.

    broke after 1 year of normal use. didn't love using it while it worked. it is lightweight and convenient, but the suction was noticeably worse than a typical shark vacuum. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

    This is an excellent vacuum. We love it's performance and the automatic emptying feature. Great suction, long battery life and roller that pet hair doesn't stick to.

    Don’t waste your time

    I am on my 2nd replacement then when I got the newwst one from you guys I have called and emailed for almost a month because it also dosent charge or work and noone has gotten back to me

    It’s not terrible but I’ve used better!

    We’ve owned this vacuum for about 2 years. I find it to be good, not great! The suction isn’t the best, it doesn’t work well without the extension at all. Pick-up of dog hair on carpet is hard and the extension wand often gets clogged. Battery life doesn’t allow for whole house cleaning (we are 3BR/2BA home). Overall I think it’s midrange but you can do better!
