This vacuum is replacing a full-size Shark vacuum that was getting old. The old unit did my entire house of carpets... 7 rooms, 8 with the porch. Filling the container fully. This new vacuum works well, is maneuverable like a sports car, but the collector barely holds 2 rooms of "sweeping", especially if my medium-haired pooch is shedding. I have to unload it a bit too often for my full liking.

Failed in 6 months. Clear filters, clear tubes, charged battery. Motor sounds like it’s beating a bat against a wall, no suction, overheats and shuts down.

Pros: battery life is pretty good, picks up everything from my hardwood floors and medium pile carpet, crevice tool works really well. Cons: balance is just ok, not great, not terrible, but could certainly be better. There isn't anywhere to store the accessories so they just sit someplace, which is annoying. The vacuum doesn't come with a wall mount and there aren't spots to keep the accessories on the vacuum when you're not using them. It's an expensive vacuum to lean against a wall (or on the floor, or to fold in half) while it charges, a wall mount just makes sense. I would not purchase again, and would instead go back to the brand I had previously (mostly for the wall mount and accessory storage on the wall mount, tbh)

We bought the Shark Vertex Pro cordless vacuum just over 6 months ago and it has already broken with light use. It has the same fold-up mechanism as this vertex vacuum. While this feature sounds nice as it allows the vacuum to store more compactly, it is not. Additionally, the vacuum cannot be stored without being folded up or without tipping over so it needs to be propped against the wall if this feature breaks. The vacuum itself has worked great other than this. We had a shark before this for many years and loved it which is why we chose shark again but this has been overall disappointing, especially given the price.

We’re so happy with this vacuum! We have 3 cats and use pellet litter (Okocat Less Mess clumping pellets, to be exact) and our previous cordless vacuum couldn’t really get them up unless we picked the vacuum up and placed it down over the pellets. This picks them up like it’s nothing! It also does a great job at getting hair and dander, there is a lot more dust in the bin than our vacuum before would have. And lastly, the battery life is pretty good - I can vacuum the full apartment (2bed 1 bath) without it dying. We always charge it after every use so that it has a full charge the next time we need it. So happy with this purchase!

I bought this a month ago and it is a game changer! I have never enjoyed cleaning, but this makes it so nice and I feel it does a great job. I really like the cordless, light weight and manuverability of this cordless vacuum!!! I love that I can get under furniture without bending over or having to move the furniture. Lots of pluses for me.

I just purchased this vacuum specifically because I wanted the fabric brush roll for hard floors and delicate area rugs and because it has a detachable battery. The box claims 50% more suction than previous models. I have the previous cordless version with the traditional vacuum head and I can confirm this model has at least 50% LESS suction than my 5 year old model. Surprisingly, I can snap my existing vacuum onto this one and it works great! The new brush roll does a much better job on my wood floors. For this price, I'll have to return it though and see if I can buy just the stick and vacuum head for less to use with my existing model.

I bought this because of the reviews and I’m really disappointed. I have the detect pro and have been very happy with it. I decided to upgrade after two years and bought the Vertex. Like night and day. The Vertex is clunky, heavy, and the suction is so poor. In addition, there is no battery display on the handle, it’s just a bar in the side. Most annoying though is you have to hold a trigger down to use the vacuum. As someone with arthritis in my hands, this becomes painful. Pretty much immediately started the return process.

My five-year-old S*msung stick vacuum and clean station from 2020 were falling apart so I had to find a replacement. This Shark product has exceeded my expectations as it is perfect for my mostly hard floor two-bedroom apartment. The two settings (hard floor/carpet) are conducive, and the flex feature greatly helps me clean under desks, chairs, etc. The flex feature also allows me to store the vacuum upright where I want it, as it does not stand up independently. The swivel feature for the main attachment is right on and helps me get to those hard-to-get places with little effort. The headlights are also helpful for us old visually impaired people. Also, the battery life after charging is very impressive. I trust this product will give me years of effective service.

Bought less than 1 month ago for the hard floors and replace the 5yr old Shark cordless. This thing does almost as good as my La502! Great suction. Even on low setting picks up dog hair with ease! It feels way more sturdy than my old one also. Can't go wrong with duo clean!

I've only had my shark vac for about 1 week. I love it. I have a dog and a long haired cat. It's so quick and easy to pick up all of their hair. Works on rugs and bare floors. Only draw back I think is the fact that I need to remove battery to empty the cup.

It is complete garbage. I returned the first one thinking it was just a defective. Got the 2nd one and within the 3rd use (again) it started making loud noises, the rollers would not work and it made burning smells. I looked, no clogs, nothing wrapped around the brushes and the belt was fine. I will be returning for a second time.

When I received my vaccume I was so excited. December 24th, my family was over to celebrate Christmas. My nephew said he would put my vaccume together for me. He pulled it out of the box and it wasn't the vaccume I ordered. In fact, it was a used vaccume that had dirt still in it and got all over my new floors. How disgusting. I am so upset I haven't even had the thought of getting another. I hope Target get me another free of charge. It would be the BEST and KINDEST thing to do.

The recent reviews that state the vacuum gets clogged and has to be disassembled every time you use it are 100% true!!! I never thought I would have to take my vacuum APART and scrape it out with a screwdriver every time I wanted to use it, but here I am! It is also very inferior in suction power. It barely picks up anything larger than a piece of hair. It does suck up dust and small particles pretty well, unless it’s clogged AGAIN, then it just spits everything back out. As a handheld, the suction is weak. Just not impressed with its overall power. We have also encountered the issue with the vacuum completely shutting off, even though the battery power is supposedly full, canister is empty, & filters are clean. The debris canister is clunky to remove and hard to get back on. The “no wrap” feature is a joke. The only thing I like about this vacuum is that’s it’s cordless and I like the feature that it bends to go under furniture. Other than that, it’s garbage. I think I purchased this model before a lot of the reviews were out, and I wish I would’ve waited! I’m going keep it as a spare for quick messes but going back to a corded vacuum for “full house” vacuum sessions.
