Stopped working after 8 months of us.
This coffee maker stopped working after 8 months. Quality has gone completely downhill. I should know I’ve been using Black & Decker coffee makers for over 30 years and they always lasted at least three years.

It spills all over the counter when pouring a cup
If you like getting just as much coffee on your counter than in your cup, this is the coffee maker for you. Every time. Upon closer examination you'll notice the spout on the pot is more "stubby" than other brands. Thus every time you go to pour a cup, coffee runs over the side of that stubby spot and all over your counter. I've had this maker since 6/5/05 and it has done this every time. Today I had enough of it and took it outside and threw it like a baseball, giving it a proper ending as I'll being buying another tomorrow and that maker will be any brand other than black and decker. I don't care if it's a dollar general coffee maker, it has to be better than this. You will regret purchasing this, I promise you that and would give this item a negative star review if I could. Don't do it...heed my review...just don't.

Died in under 4 months -AVOID Black & Decker
Used this drip coffee maker lightly (maybe 2–3 pots a week) and at the 4-month mark it completely stopped dripping. Water just sat in the basket, built up insane steam pressure, super-heated the plastic carafe, and exploded out the sides making a huge scalding mess all over my counter. Sent Black & Decker clear photos of my original receipt + the defect. They gave me the run-around kept asking for the same pictures again. Absolute garbage customer service. Threw the whole thing in the trash. Do NOT waste your money on this model or honestly any Black & Decker coffee maker. You’ve been warned.

Nothing good
I had one with a flat top on the carafe and a piece in the back of the carafe to get a cup before brewing ended. Now with the round top, coffee gets all over the plate. Also, the grounds are always wet at the end of the day. Your well reader is too far to the left. Hard to read numbers if you are left handed. Had one of you makers that the reader was on the side, a handle in the back to take a cup and the top of the carafe was flat. What happened to your company?

Great value!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brews quickly and without a lot of noise. Carafe does not drip when pouring...really! Would rate a 5 if it had auto shut off. All things considered a great value.

How cheap can you make something
Could you make this coffee maker any cheaper? No substance, heap plastic, rough edges on carafe handle, cup markings only on one side, us poor lefthanders Can’t imagine the useful life will be anywhere where it should be

A fire would have been more dependable
I've had this for less than two weeks. At day three I noticed an electrical burning smell and the coffee was not as hot as days one and two. This is now performing as badly as the one it replaces.
