I recently purchased the Breville Milk Café, and overall, I’m very happy with it. The machine works beautifully — it heats milk quickly and creates a rich, creamy froth that’s perfect for lattes, cappuccinos, and hot chocolate. It feels sturdy, well-designed, and easy to use. The only disappointing issue I experienced was with the exterior finish. Right out of the box, I gently cleaned the outside with a damp cloth and water, and I noticed that the surface developed a slight golden/reddish tint afterward. I wasn’t expecting that from such a premium-looking product. That said, this cosmetic issue doesn’t affect the performance at all. The machine functions excellently, and I’m still very pleased with my purchase. If the exterior finish were a bit more resistant, it would be absolutely perfect.

Wanted to love this because I love that it’s stainless frother and not coated with toxic stick free coatings. Unfortunately there’s lots of plastic parts that crack shortly after purchasing. The cover cracked from the heat, then I noticed the base you put the carafe on was also plastic and cracked. Sad and unfortunate because it falls short on thought and design for lasting greatness.

After years of using a low end frother with no detachable jug and a much lower capacity, I am very happy with the Breville Milk Cafe. I first saw it at my friend's house and loved how easily it could be cleaned and how much milk it could froth. I waffled a bit over the price but I'm so glad I finally got it. I use the latte whisk daily with nonfat milk to make tea lattes. I love that I can dial in exactly how hot I want the milk. But the best part is how easy cleanup is... I don't have to wait for anything to cool down, I can immediately rinse and wash the jug, or stick it in the dishwasher. Because the whisk snaps onto the metal jug, it does make rattle sound while whisking, if noise level is a concern for you. It doesn't bother me. I'm so happy with the results and look forward to making drinks every morning.

Works great. Love the large capacity and it’s easy to clean. I find the highest setting is the only setting hot enough for me but that might be personal preference.

Works great! Love it. There are two inserts to create really fluffy foam or just a little. Love the choice. Its quick and quiet and makes it easier for quick latte in the mornings.

This was bought for a 2nd home. My daughters and I already have one each. My wife loves her coffee.

I have had mine for 6+ years and it works great. I use it at least once daily to make chai tea (milk+tea mix). Foam quality varies based on milk used (whole milk = no foam, skim = thick head of foam). Once in a while, it doesn't catch to spin, but if I use a spoon to push the frothing disc down more, it catches and is fine. I would definitely buy it again!

The best milk frothing machine ever! We make 2 cappuccinos every morning, and a few evenings a week after dinner and the cafe is the best ever machine! Easy to make and easy to clean! It’s great having hot coffee!

I have an older version and it’s still going. Best milk frother. Perfect every time so I can add as much creamy milk as I like to my espresso drink. I combine with Nespresso capsule machine for a great latte.

I HAVE HAD THIS FOR GOSH MAYBE 20 YEARS. I DO NOT RECALL WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THIS. I THINK THHIS IS MY THIRD ONE. I HAVE TRIED OTHERS, #1 THEY DO NOT HOLD AS MUCH. I HAVE USED THIS FOR HOT CHOCOLATE, CHAI LATTE AND MILK FOR MY COFFEE. I HAVE A FANCY COFFEE MACHINE IT HAS A MILK STEAMER, I PREFER MY BREVILLE MILK FROTHER. OF COURSE IT HAS GONE UP IN PRICE CONSIDERABLY, BUT WHAT HASN'T IN THIS DAY AND AGE!! BREVILLE PLEASE DO NOT QUIT MAKING THIS IT IS BY FAR IN MY HUMBLE OPINION THE BEST OF ITS KIND!!

I have had my milk cafe for over three years now and it is my favorite purchase ever. I am a huge fan of tea lattes and make them every single day with this. Before I found this I spent money on other crap that did not perform. The joy this machine has brought me from being able to have a delicious simple pleasure whenever I want at home has been incredible. Oatly fiull fat froths and bubbles up PERFECTLY in this. Coffee, tea, steamers, hot chocolate...whatever milky creation you want will be NOTHING short of perfection with this. Everyone in my life who enjoys tea over coffee has purchased this machine based on my love for it. I strongly recommend it. The foam it is able to create without a steam wand is just perfect. I could go on and on.

I bought this and its not working as I thought it would. I'm thinking about returning it

Similar to other reviews, I have had two of these milk frothers now that do not work. Both machines make a terrible loud grinding sound and do not spin the milk to blend it. Save yourself the money, time and headache of this frother and instead purchase a milk frother from another brand.

I had a Nespresso frother and found it burned the milk and I had to scrap the bottom on a regular basis. I like latte and I ordered the Breville unit. I am trilled with it and the milk froth is thick and white. There are lots of options (chocolate milk) which I have not tried yet but looking forward to doing so this winter.

This milk frother makes the most beautiful foam. Lite and fluffy. Coffee is better because of it. And being able to adjust the temperature means that you never scorch the milk.
