Piece of crap blender
Bought the blender at Christmas and this is the first time using it in March. During the second time being used it the motor burns up. This has got to be the worst piece of crap I've bought in a long time. I still have a Hamilton Beach blender from the early 80's that works but is slowing down but is still better than this thing. Don't waste your money on anything with the Black and Decker name. Most of the 5 start reviews are computer generated. Read them but look at how they're worded.

stopped working first time I used it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time I used the blender, the blade turned freely until it didn't. Just quit. I thought maybe it overheated for some reason, so I unplugged it and let it rest 30 minutes. Still nothing.

One button doesn’t work
One button stopped working after a while. The rest of the button is fine but the purée button doesn’t work to make smoothies

I bought this a couple weeks now and used it every day…no worries at all, easy cleaning even when using peanut butter just fill with water and squirt of dish soap turn on low couple seconds and rinse whala done makes my life easier than last blender…thank you Black and Decker

Smoothest milkshake…..

Love it
Performs just as expected. Only thing I am having trouble with is removing the blade base for cleaning. Out of box it was already installed. Tried to remove it and doesn't turn. Gave up because I didn't want to break it. manual says it comes off. How? I have no idea.

To remove the blade assembly from the jar base, you will need to turn the jar base/collar counterclockwise to remove it from the bottom of the jar. Once the jar base has been removed, carefully take the blade assembly off the bottom of the jar. Very Durable
I upgraded my current blender (mostly plastic) to this strong, heavy glass container. Powerful ! The only thing better would be the print on the button options be bolder and a bit larger to read.

manufacturing defect
i bought this on 9th october 2020. i found no gasket supplied with this blender. on the second day when I tried smoothy, i found it is leaking. next time i tried apple juice, same leaking problem. Dont know how to do further

Blades are so dull!
I bought this last night, and when I opened to wash it today, I noticed that the blades are super dull. I rubbed my fingers hard on them, and not even a little bit sharp. So disappointing. I was looking between this one and an Oster, but chose Black & Decker based on the name having a good reputation. So disappointed!
